After a long wait, Mrs. Carter's condition finally stabilized.
The family outside the operating room breathed a sigh of relief.
Mrs. Carter was taken to the ward.
Outside the ward, Evan Palmer called to a few people who were about to enter to visit.
"Your grandfather isn't doing well."
Evan Palmer's voice shattered the brief calm,
"He concealed his condition from the hospital and insisted on being discharged.
He had a sudden brain hemorrhage on the plane. Though he was sent for emergency treatment immediately after landing, he has remained in a coma and has not woken up since."
Evan Palmer informed everyone of another piece of bad news, like a thunderbolt out of a clear sky.
After saying this, Evan pointed an accusing finger at Emily Parker and said viciously,
"It's all her fault! If it weren't for her, this jinx, your grandfather wouldn't have rushed to go abroad."
"Dad, how can you blame sister-in-law for this?"
