Unlike the uniform green stone and black tiles of the city, the City Lord Mansion in Rock City is its most luxurious structure, outfitted with painted eaves and carved beams, bridges over flowing water, and rugged mountains and stones—yet these are all remains from the previous City Lord.
This was right after dinner time. Uncle Wu, the aging butler of City Lord Mansion, carried a 'Furious Wind' lantern as he hurriedly navigated the winding corridors straight to the study. He was seventy this year, with a stooped back and legs that were no longer nimble; the last time he ran like this was over a decade ago.
"Master, Master!" He knocked on the door twice in succession. The person inside had barely completed the word "come" when Uncle Wu had already pushed the door open. For the two people in the study, the old butler's action was out of character.
