"Oh! That's our school! I didn't expect the First Generation had visited before… even if it's not the same world."
Second Gen Spider-Man was a little surprised, glancing at Gwen, who nodded beside him.
Harry sighed when he saw his dad on the screen—back when he was still normal.
Now, his dad was locked away in a mental institution.
Even though First Gen Spider-Man had subdued and even cured him, it didn't erase the crimes Norman had committed. He had killed members of Oscorp's board of directors and even a general from the Department of Defense.
If the Sky Screen hadn't revealed the Green Goblin's existence to the public—if the judge hadn't considered the impact of his dual personality disorder—Norman would have faced a far harsher punishment.
["Harry, don't you have a backpack?" Norman called from behind, handing it over.]
["Thanks, Dad!" Harry grinned before introducing his father to First Gen Spider-Man. "Peter, this is my dad—Norman Osborn!"]
["I've heard a lot about you," Norman stepped forward, shaking First Gen Spider-Man's hand.]
["It's an honor to meet you, sir!" First Gen Spider-Man smiled politely.]
["Harry tells me you have quite a talent for science. You know, I'm a scientist myself," Norman remarked with interest.]
["I've read your research on nanotechnology—it's amazing!" First Gen Spider-Man responded enthusiastically.]
[Norman raised an eyebrow, surprised. "You understand it?"]
["Yes! I even wrote my own report on the subject," First Gen Spider-Man nodded.]
["That's impressive," Norman praised him. "Your parents must be proud of you."]
[A flicker of sadness passed through First Gen Spider-Man's eyes, but he quickly answered, "I live with my uncle and aunt. They're proud of me."]
[Before their conversation could continue, the teacher's voice called out, urging students to move along. Norman and First Gen Spider-Man shook hands once more before parting ways.]
[As they walked, First Gen Spider-Man turned to Harry and smiled. "Your father's a great man."]
[Harry chuckled. "Just because you're a genius! I think he wants to adopt you!"]
Hearing Norman discuss nanotechnology, Tony Stark's eyes lit up.
"Nano… yeah! Nano!" Tony suddenly exclaimed. "Using nanomaterials would prevent enemies from slipping through the armor's weak points!"
Bruce Banner nodded in agreement. No matter how strong the gold-titanium alloy was, the gaps between the plating were a critical flaw. Those small weaknesses were potential entry points for attacks.
"Alright!" Tony clapped his hands decisively. "Our next objective—developing nanomaterials for combat armor. Let's get to work!"
Meanwhile, Second Gen Spider-Man kept his eyes on Norman Osborn in the broadcast.
"I remember Norman… he wanted to be like a father to the original Peter Parker. He even put on that act—pretending to be kind—only to stab him in the back."
Gwen nodded. "That's right. I wonder… has the First Gen Peter Parker changed his fate, just like we did?"
In their own world, both George Stacy and Gwen had survived what was supposed to be their fated deaths. Many people believed the Sky Screen had given them a chance to rewrite destiny.
Maybe the First Gen Peter Parker had, too.
["There are more than 32,000 species of spiders worldwide, classified into three major families."]
[The teacher led the group of students through the facility, continuing her lecture.]
[First Gen Spider-Man's eyes lit up as he looked at the advanced equipment. "Wow! This is incredible!"]
[Turning to Harry, he added, "This is the most advanced electron microscope on the East Coast! I can't believe we get to see it up close!"]
[The teacher gestured toward a glass case. "Each spider family has developed unique abilities to help them hunt. For example, this species from Australia—it can jump to capture its prey."]
[At that moment, Mary Jane frowned, irritated by Flash Thompson messing with her hair. She moved to the other side of the group—only to catch sight of Peter Parker staring at her.]
[When their eyes met, First Gen Spider-Man quickly averted his gaze, pretending he hadn't been looking. Mary Jane, however, simply turned away indifferently.]
[Meanwhile, Parker spotted the spiders and pulled out his camera. "Can I take a picture for the school magazine?"]
[After receiving approval, he focused on the shot—only for Flash to deliberately bump into him, ruining his photo.]
[Flash's cronies chuckled and pushed past him, acting as if nothing had happened.]
[The teacher continued, "Next, we have a web-spinning spider from the genus Araneus. It creates an incredibly strong, funnel-shaped web—almost as durable as construction cables."]
[First Gen Spider-Man tried to take another photo, but once again, Flash's lackeys shoved him just enough to make him miss his shot.]
[Watching from the side, Harry finally had enough. "Back off," he warned.]
[One of Flash's goons smirked. "Or what?"]
[Flash sneered, "Yeah, what's your dad gonna do? Fire my dad?"]
[Hearing this, Flash's friends laughed, clapping their hands in amusement.]
[With a smug grin, Flash grabbed Harry by the collar. "What can your father do to me? Sue me?"]
[Just before things could escalate, the teacher appeared. He grabbed Flash's wrist and frowned. "What's going on here?"]
[The smirking students immediately fell silent, straightening up as the teacher glared at them.]
["If I hear one more word, someone's getting a failing grade. I'm not kidding. Now, keep moving."]
[The class reluctantly obeyed, and the tour resumed.]
["This species here is a grass spider," the teacher explained. "It has extraordinary reflexes, which help it hunt. Some scientists believe its reflexes are so fast, they border on precognition. It's as if they have a sixth sense!"]
Watching the broadcast, Tony raised an eyebrow. "Wait… isn't that Spider-Man's ability? Is this where the original Peter Parker got his powers?"
Natasha, standing nearby, nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah, I was thinking the same thing."
In another room, little Peter Parker sat on Aunt May's lap, wide-eyed as he stared at the spiders on the Sky Screen.
He couldn't contain his excitement.
The idea that he would one day have incredible superpowers—just like the Spider-Men in the broadcasts—thrilled him so much that he could barely sit still.
Meanwhile, First Gen Spider-Man found himself lost in thought.
Looking back on that moment in his life… it was impossible not to feel something.
The Sky Screen had repeated over and over that this wasn't mere coincidence, but the inevitable path of fate.
Even so, his heart still raced when he relived it.
That moment was the turning point of his entire life.
The beginning of everything.
If that spider hadn't bitten him that day, he would have remained the same—a scrawny, timid, hunchbacked Peter Parker, bullied by everyone.
But fate had chosen him.
And now, he is Spider-Man.
