Just as Feng Yu used battle as a means to sharpen his own strength, the same was true for Shiba, Mia, and Dilumon.
If he jumped in now, it might actually be a disservice to them—robbing them of the valuable training opportunity this battle provided.
And Feng Yu was sure that Shiba and Mia didn't want his help right now anyway.
Although both women had consumed a great deal of physical energy after defeating their respective opponents, their Nen reserves remained abundant thanks to the Yin Seal.
After regrouping with Dilumon, the three of them quickly coordinated to suppress Tess (formerly No. 4) and Kayla (formerly No. 10).
Likewise, the arrival of Shiba and Mia didn't go unnoticed by the two enemies.
Tess and Kayla immediately spotted the bodies of their fallen teammates.
The sight sparked not only anger, but also fear—and a growing urge to retreat.
With the tide turning so drastically, even the looming threat of the Council of Elders couldn't convince them to fight to the death.
But wanting to retreat didn't mean they could.
Not when Shiba, Mia, and Dilumon had no intention of letting them go.
While suppressing the pair, the trio also worked together to trap them in a shrinking combat zone.
"Cat's Eye!"
The battle intensified.
Shiba laid down suppressing fire with her Nen bullets, forcing Tess and Kayla to either dodge or defend.
Mia, hidden within the space of her Door Fruit, kept striking with precise sword slashes from the surrounding portals.
Suddenly, Dilumon spotted an opening.
With both enemies distracted, her eyes shimmered—and a strange invisible force pulsed outward.
In an instant, both Tess and Kayla froze in place, paralyzed.
"Now's our chance!"
"That was Dilumon's move!"
Shiba and Mia saw the window and immediately struck.
Da-da-da-da…
Shiba's arm-mounted Gatling gun roared to life, firing real bullets in a savage metal storm.
From the opposite side, a razor-sharp sword light tore through the void, aiming directly for Tess's neck.
"AHHH!"
The paralysis only lasted a moment—but that was all it took.
Kayla was shredded midair, her body riddled with bullets until she fell to the ground like a broken doll.
Tess fared only slightly better.
The sword slash didn't decapitate her, thanks to her Enhancer-type Nen defense, but it carved a deep, bloody gash into her neck.
Her pupils constricted in panic. Clutching her throat, Tess dropped to her knees like a deflated balloon—then collapsed completely, motionless.
Huff… huff…
A portal opened with a soft whoosh, and Mia stepped out of the Door Fruit space.
Just like Shiba, she looked pale and exhausted, her breathing ragged from the extended fight.
Despite their fatigue, both women wore looks of fierce satisfaction.
They had done it.
They hadn't just survived—they had won.
They had taken down elite enemies with their own hands.
This was the first time either of them had killed top-tier Nen users. The sense of triumph was overwhelming.
Whoosh!
A figure raced toward them at high speed—it was Feng Yu.
Now that the last enemies had been defeated, he made his way over from where he had been observing the final moments of the battle.
"Master!"
Dilumon beamed, her face lighting up with joy as she ran over and leapt into Feng Yu's arms. He caught her mid-air, and she nuzzled affectionately into his chest.
Despite having fought two enemies alone earlier, Dilumon had no visible injuries. Her stamina and Nen reserves seemed barely depleted.
That wasn't because she'd held back.
It was simply because her physiology was different.
Her natural resilience and vast energy reserves were more comparable to Chimera Ants than humans—making her a formidable fighter even in prolonged combat.
"You took out all six of them already?"
"When did you get here?"
Shiba and Mia turned toward Feng Yu, relaxing as soon as they saw it was him.
Their surprise was clear.
Six members of the Meteor Pursuit Team had been drawn away by Feng Yu—and they weren't just any members. Many were considered elite.
To face six of them alone and return unharmed?
That was astonishing.
Even though they hadn't yet seen the corpses, the mere fact that Feng Yu was back safe and sound said enough.
"I got back not too long ago," Feng Yu replied with a smile. "And yes, I took care of them. All six."
As he spoke, he lifted Dilumon onto his shoulder and stepped forward to embrace both Shiba and Mia.
"You're not hurt, right?" he asked, gently supporting their tired bodies and letting them lean against him.
Shiba smiled confidently, despite the exhaustion on her face.
"Don't underestimate me. The enemies were strong, but I'm not weak either. I'm just a little low on stamina now."
Mia nodded and added in a soft voice, "I'm fine too. I stayed inside the Door Fruit space most of the time, so they never even had a chance to hit me."
