"Report!"
A reporting officer burst into Wallace's office in a panic. As soon as he looked up he saw the two de facto power holders of the current Feng Yuan League staring at him in unison.
"Champion S... Mr. Steven, Champion Wallace!"
He hurriedly bowed first to express his apologies.
"Don't panic, don't get so flustered if things get any more beat up, a fight is not a rush."
Wallace smiled and relieved the debriefer who was not the first time he had barged into his office. In fact, just from the past six months or so, the office of these champions of theirs had been frequently broken into by various debriefers. And they had received bad news over and over again.
Good news, champions are used to. Bad news, champions were used to.
"Yes, Champion Wallace!"
The person reporting back, though bellyaching, thought Wallace had a point, and calmed himself.
"Speak."
Wallace said as he saw that the man had calmed down as well.
While talking, he also sipped his tea. Seriously, after following Rope in dealing with so many things, he had long practiced a heart that was unchanged by a mountain.
He was already a professionally trained person, he wouldn't be afraid of anything no matter how scary it was.
"Yes, we have detected traces of Groudon and Kyogre's activities. And judging from the intensity of the rising activity, it's most likely Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre."
Steven: ...
Wallace: ???
The steady-as-she-goes aura on the two men who had just finished an intense training match instantly became a bit strained.
Groudon and Kyogre.. .these two guys are the nightmare of Hoenn region for a long time!
However, they soon reacted, although it was true that Groudon and Kyogre were Hoenn's nightmare. But in reality... these two Pokémon weren't that much of a stretch. After all, they had sort of said hello to Rayquaza the last time Rope brought him to the battlefield. If they knew each other, even if Rayquaza didn't give them face, Rope's face would always be given.
"Emm, you guys start marching the rules prediction, and then evacuate the people in the relevant areas. Prepare more relevant post-disaster reconstruction measures these days."
Wallace arranged things with ease. And the man who reported back retreated after receiving the order.
Wallace and Steven exchanged a glance, and then the two of them looked at each other in unison and smiled bitterly.
"Obviously it's indeed a big thing. But it just feels..."
"It doesn't feel as scary as it feels like following that Rope guy who has seen too many situations."
"Should we ask Rope's opinion on this?"
Wallace opened his mouth as if suddenly remembering something to ask Steven's opinion.
Steven stroked his chin and said, "It's best to ask, after all, it's better to get an expert's opinion on this kind of thing."
Just as the two men were about to dial Rope's number.
A knock sounded at the door.
"Come in."
Wallace shouted aloud.
Then it was the officer who had just given the briefing who once again walked in, only this time he had obviously learned from the last time and listened to Wallace's advice, so he said in a calm and collected manner, "There's new information again, Champion Wallace."
Wallace nodded in satisfaction at his attitude and asked, "What intel?"
"Rayquaza has shown up as well."
Wallace and Steven frowned in unison.
This thing wasn't quite right, in the past Rayquaza would have waited for Kyogre and Groudon to have a good time first, or at least get rid of the wake-up call before coming up to counsel the fight (physically).
After all, if these two guys were on a roll, it would be Hoenn's undoing if the three gods got together and started a firefight.
Rope said it was Rayquaza who said it was his experience after years of beating up these two rammers.
The credibility can be said to be quite high.
So Rayquaza's sudden appearance...very counterintuitive.
Looking at Wallace and Steven's suddenly ugly faces, the man who came in to report was a million times more puzzled. Seriously, the reason why he was able to say this news relatively calmly wasn't all because of Wallace's request.
If he could really do what Wallace said, he wouldn't be here right now but a small person handing out information to the top.
The main reason why he was still so calm was because Rayquaza's sudden appearance was still considered good news.
People often had a hard time hiding disappointment and despair. Putting on their stinky faces for others to see had almost been a human inability. But their smiles are often still able to be suppressed by virtue of themselves. There are some joys they don't want to share with others.
But judging by Wallace and Steven's reaction, it didn't seem like anything to be happy about.
Just as the debriefer was puzzled, Wallace turned toward him and said, "Just start preparing as I told you before. Take precautionary measures. Meanwhile, closely observe their movements."
"Aye! Champion!"
Although he didn't know why the Champion cared so much but he himself was just a little person who needed to follow orders.
There were always some advantages to being a small person as well. At least they didn't have to wear themselves out by carrying so many people's lives on their backs.
After he left, Steven and Wallace looked at each other, then without much hesitation were about to directly dial the number.
"Hello Wallace, what can I do for you?"
Rope asked, somewhat puzzled, as he sat in the car.
He was now driving with Whitley and Diana towards the address of a village given by the village headman.Diana had also been to that village when she was a child, although she hadn't been there for a long time. Diana had been to that village as a child, although she hadn't been there for a long time. That's why Diana still vaguely remembers the road to that village.
Rope didn't take Cynthia with him even in Sinnoh. He didn't want Cynthia to face those unknown dangers, and with the power he has now, if he really encounters any dangers that he doesn't have the means to solve. Then bringing Cynthia along would just be dragging Cynthia down.
Not to mention that the champion's job wasn't something that could just be left behind. Even if there is a Gohatsu that can be dumped. But there are some things that Cynthia has to decide for herself after all.
Rope wouldn't have let Whitley follow her if it wasn't for Whitley's own strong request and her decent 'learning' reasons.
As for Diana, who had just joined the group?
There's always a price to pay when people want to get ahead.
This journey, which is not necessarily dangerous, is Diana's pitch to Rope. As long as this journey ends successfully, then he will never treat Diana badly.
Life is a gamble in many cases.
Giving your life to Rope is already a great gamble.
At least the stakes aren't too high, the money is generous, and even if you lose, you'll be remembered by Rope's friends in passing. It was a good ending.
Wallace's puzzled voice came from the other end of the phone, "Rope, we got word that Rayquaza, Kyogre, and Groudon all awakened, and then now we don't know what the hell is going on. Do you have any news?"
Rope's brow furrowed at that, of course he didn't know what was going on here in the first place. But he instinctively sensed that something wasn't quite right.
"I don't know what's going on either. Did they do anything over the top?"
Rope pondered for a moment, realizing that he too was clueless, and asked.
"No. From what we've gotten so far, not only have they not acted in an overly aggressive manner, they're even unusually harmonious."
Wallace's tone was filled with confusion. Rope knew that Rayquaza, Groudon, Kyogre they actually didn't have any grudges at all. Even though they had fought endlessly over the years. But if anyone was missing, they would be very uncomfortable.
The fight between them was more like instinct. And after that qi energy had passed, they could each go back to sleep.
The appearance of meeting and not fighting was unexpected, but it made sense.
"You guys just wait and see what happens. I'll be able to get there quickly, so don't worry about a situation where they actually fight."
Rope said calmly. The current him wasn't the one from before. Wearing himself out over a small matter certainly didn't need to be that much of a hassle after having a teleportation portal.
And now there was a teleportation tool in addition to the portal. The portal sends you to the general location, and the teleportation tool sends you to the place of the incident.
Yes, that was one of the biggest things Hoopa and Mewtwo were good for...one of the biggest things.
Wallace on the other end of the phone also knew that Rope had a point, so he simply answered and hung up.
Calling when something like this happened didn't mean the champions were incompetent.
Rather, they were wise.
With people around them who knew enough about these things, they were still going to be hell-bent on handling things as they understood them. Just to show that they are competent.
It's a very stupid thing to do. It was irresponsible to a lot of people.
Whitley looked at Rope's face that still wasn't really good after he hung up the phone and asked in a puzzled voice, "What's wrong? Something wrong over there?"
Rope shook his head and said, "No, it's just that things are a bit fishy."
Saying that, Rope glanced at Hoopa beside him who didn't have much of a reaction and remained silent.
Diana, who was driving in the front, didn't even say a word, her eyes watching her nose. She knew deep down that she had already considered herself lucky to be able to work for Professor Rope, and now it was best not to casually inquire about things she shouldn't know.
People who had been poisoned by the world would always be a lot less curious.
Before Rope could ask Hoopa something, Rotom sent out another prompt.
Rope frowned at those pictures that Lance had sent to him, and was a little surprised.
The pictures were of Ho-Oh, and the background varied.
"Rotom, call Lance."
Rope instinctively sensed something was wrong and simply spoke directly to Lance.
The call was quickly dialed.
"Got the picture I gave you."
Lance spoke up.
"All from today?"
Rope started to ask with some confusion. He had felt something odd when he looked at the pictures earlier, the information should all be from today.
Lance spoke up, "Yes, they are all from today, the first sighting report was received starting this morning, and then it was just a succession of sightings."
"In terms of Ho-Oh it seems like she deliberately chose routes where she could be observed, it's also possible that she's just too lazy to avoid our observation."
Rope's brow furrowed he hadn't had much dealings with Ho-Oh. And Ho-Oh usually Jesus rocks a god who would make a regular appearance to make her presence known.
So it wasn't a surprise to Rope that she would do something like this.
But Ho-Oh would also be mindful of her mystery, and it was reasonable to assume that she wouldn't let so many people see her at once.
This kind of situation, even in the times when gods and humans coexisted, would only happen during celebrations.
But this is neither a celebration nor an ancient time, so it's pretty illogical.
Coupled with the fact that the three gods of the Hoenn region had awakened in unison, to say that there wasn't some connection behind this.Rope would never believe it.
"Wait and see what happens, observe from a distance, and leave immediately after the other party warns you."
Rope said very seriously, "Ho-Oh isn't a god that would casually go out to harm humans, so you don't have to worry if he'll suddenly scurry out to deal with you guys, keep your distance. Observe the other party's purpose."
"Okay, listen to you."
After saying that, Lance also hung up the phone very dryly.
Rope was the one who couldn't help but rub his temples after making this call.
He knew that there was probably another very troublesome matter coming to his door today.
"Rope...this is..."
"It won't just stop." Rope spoke directly.
"I don't know what they're going to do, but I guess it's going to be a big, extra big battle today."
Rope said rather breathlessly.
Whitley also nodded his head, if one region was a coincidence, then if two regions of Legendary Pokémon had problems at the same time, then there must be something wrong.
As expected, Rotom soon handed over another request for a video.
Rope glanced at it, then picked up the phone.
"Rope, Reshiram and Zekrom have appeared, and Kyurem has disappeared from his original perch."
On the other end of the line was Caitlin's somewhat anxious face. One must know that Kyurem was not a good-tempered god. Ferocity and indifference were all synonymous with Kyurem.
So once Kyurem lost control, it was feared that the battle of Shuanglong City in the original story would be staged again.
After all, the attraction of the gene wedge to Kyurem is unstoppable. It was an instinctive quest for wholeness.
"Calm down, it's not just you Unova who are like this. hoenn and Kanto Chengdu are the same. Calm first. You guys watch the trail of Reshiram and Zekrom and make a prediction about their direction of advance. Then give me the results of the prediction."
Rope spoke gently.
He couldn't panic now, although he didn't know why it was Caitlin who contacted him from the Unova region, but he thought that there should be something hard to tell in. So he simply didn't ask.
Caitlin's tense spirit was somewhat soothed under Rope's gentle tone. She looked at Rope's confident demeanor, and the uneasiness in her heart let go for a moment.
"Actually, they didn't see it. It was me who 'saw' it."
Caitlin spoke up.
Rope understood at once. It turned out that it wasn't the Unova region that had observed the traces of these three dragons[1], but rather Caitlin had used her precognitive ability to learn a bit of information.
"I've now asked them to do their best to find the traces of these three dragons, and as soon as I've determined their travel route, I'll let you know the first time."
Caitlin said seriously. After calming down, this great lady showed the qualities that a veteran aristocrat should have.
Rope nodded and said, "I'll wait for your news."
After saying that, Caitlin's side hung up first.
Rope waved his hand towards Rotom, signaling Rotom to cool off to the side. Then rubbed his head.
It really was enough of a headache. Do these guys consider him Rope as one of their own or not, they didn't inform him of such a big deal.
"Hoopa did you get any news there?"
Rope lowered his head and asked Hoopa.
Hoopa shrugged his shoulders and said, "I wouldn't hide it from you if I knew anything relevant."
Hoopa really didn't know anything that's why he felt the same feeling of being ostracized as Rope.
"But just so you know Rope, there are only a few Pokémon that can inform all the other gods besides Arceus. A guess as to who the organizers are would be a good one. I think they're having a meeting or something. The key then is where the location of their meeting is."
Hoopa analyzed the situation in question for Rope in a serious manner.
Rope, of course, knew this stuff.
"The key is not knowing."
"Calm down, as long as we know where it is, then we can quickly rush over there, want to leave us aside to have a small meeting? Think twice."
Hoopa clasped his hands on his chest and said with some disdain.
Rope, however, is not as optimistic as Hoopa, knowing that Legendary Pokémon are not unaware of Hoopa's ability, so this time not informing Hoopa, is not not wanting to let themselves and Hoopa get involved in it.
Then the phone rang one after another.
As expected, gods from various places appeared and showed up in front of the crowd.
Even those two kings of Galar and Calyrex showed up.
"I think they have something to discuss, and it doesn't matter much if they don't bring me. Not bringing you on the other hand is because it's something that doesn't require your involvement."
Hoopa didn't give up his inquisitive mind, so he continued speculating in style.
Rope, on the other hand, didn't make a sound.
There was one last region that had not sent a 'congratulatory message'.
It wasn't long before Rotom received a call from Cynthia.Rope's fluke was completely gone.
"Hey, what's up."
"The Time and Space Dragons and the Lord of the Distortion World have shown up."
Cynthia wasn't flustered and appeared calm.
"Are you a little flustered right now?"
Cynthia asked as she opened her mouth.
Rope would love to say no, but in reality it is, and he's always assumed that the gods would be the last thing he'd fall back on. Because if this world was destroyed, they, as representatives of the Law, would almost certainly die.
But that wasn't the case.
How else did Latias and the other Legendary Pokémon who were in the hands of Red in the parallel survive?
Rope was puzzled, but not that puzzled.
"Rope, have some faith in them." Cynthia looked at the distressed Rope and tried to only console him through the screen.
"You and them are definitely on the same side, even if they want to break, they will do it after negotiating with you, it makes no sense to break somehow."
Cynthia said seriously and earnestly, "You can't panic, Rope. anyone can panic, but not you."
Rope looked up at Cynthia.
"A lot of people see you as a pillar. It would be just as well if you hadn't become that character from the beginning. Now that you've also admitted that you've become this character, there's no escaping it."
"...I see."
Rope patted her cheeks, then said, "You guys also organize their marching tracks and give them to me."
"En, I've already arranged it, don't worry." Cynthia gave a bitter smile as she looked at the revitalized Rope, of course she knew that Rope was strong in spirit, but like she said before. there wasn't that much choice for Rope.
"What I need to talk to you about is something else."
Hearing Cynthia's words, Rope asked, "What is it?"
"Don't you feel that...the gods are somewhat deliberate?"
Cynthia said somewhat oddly, "It feels as if they are manifesting their existence as they can."
————————————
Unova, some unknown island in the ocean.
Mew crosses his arms and looks at the flaming clouds and black thunderclouds in front of her, as well as the howling cold wind.
A small adult like look came over his face.
Emm, small kid makes sense.
The three gods closest to the rally location had already arrived.
It looked like the rally he had organized wouldn't be a joke that wouldn't stir up any more waterworks after all.
Thinking so, Mew couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief, and then immediately resumed that serious look.
Soon, the three giant dragons of Thunder, Fire and Ice appeared on top of the island.
"Put away all your energy, I don't want nothing to be able to exist after this island."
Mew said rather seriously.
The three gargoyles did not refuse his request, since although they were the hosts of the Unova region. But the organizer of this gathering was Mew after all, so they still had to give this bit of face.
So the three dragons restrained their energies, looked at Mew in front of them, and waited quietly.
Mew, on the other hand, glanced at the helicopters following behind them. He nodded with satisfaction.
This time they came to show the humans how powerful they are. And then to manifest their existence.
The gods hadn't arrived yet, and the Tao Trio had yet to resolve their philosophical conflicts with each other, so there was no communication between them.
Mew was cool on the outside, but in the bottom of his heart he was realistically worried about whether the other guys would stand him up.
But fortunately, four streams of light soon appeared from another direction. And they soon arrived in front of the island.
Sure enough, it was Alola's four island guardians, the Kapu family.
And further away, there were also other streams of light faintly approaching this way.
