Chapter 390 - Map

"Can something so terrible happen to our village?"

The High Priest looked at Rope in a moment of disbelief...

The sunlight shot out from the window behind Rope, and the High Priest looked at Rope against the light. couldn't see his face, could only feel the vague blaze and holiness.

"I don't mean to be joking, Great Sacrifice, I have seen the tragic state of this village with my own eyes, and I don't want to leave Sennogi alone to face the cruelty of that future."

Rope looked at the High Priestess and spoke earnestly, "I don't know how long you can keep living without the Water Origin, but I think that 63 years is just one generation. After that, there might still be someone who can survive and meet with Sennogi again. That way, it won't leave Sennogi so alone."

It was only after Rope saw how lively Sennogi was that she truly realized that all the loneliness Sennogi had felt after meeting herself wasn't all because of herself, but because she really didn't have anyone else to rely on right now.

But then it occurred to Rope that Sennogi hadn't realized that any of her own people had survived earlier, either. So it wasn't clear whether she was changing the past or making up history.

After listening to Rope's words, the High Priest slowly shook his head and said seriously, "I believe in your words, my lord. But this matter is not something I can do alone. I need to discuss this matter with the current village chief, Sennogi's brother."

Rope nodded without much comment. After all, if this kind of thing happened to him, he would already be in a good temper if he didn't kick the person out.

Imagine a man coming to your door and yelling at you, 'If you don't run, someone will come and get you!' Do you really listen to him and run away with a bucket, or do you beat him up?

Nonsense, definitely beat him up, and then carefully think about whether you have a hidden danger of being killed. After all, this kind of thing is better to be believed than not.

It was also Rope's strength and bitterness that kept him from being suspected and attacked by the Great Sacrifice, or else the situation on the field right now shouldn't be so pretty.

Rope was also well aware of this matter. That's why he wouldn't engage in any further prodding.

But since it was something he wanted to do, then he must do it. If the village chief and the High Priest didn't agree, then he would solve the problem in his own way.

But Rope suddenly thought of something...

The thing about history being changeable he was beyond certain. Because Year had once personally shown him this way of operating. Granny Agatha, who didn't even know him back then, suddenly said that she had probably met him many years ago.

But back then, when he and Granny Agatha first met, Granny Agatha had never mentioned this.

Rope shook his head and let out a bitter laugh.

He had really gotten caught up in the moment himself. Or rather, too much respect for time.

Time was scary, but it was also true that he could be toyed with in the presence of someone even scarier.

For a moment, Rope began to yearn for the position Year and the others were in.

After thinking these things through, Rope thought he might be able to just take care of Kakeru...once and for all.

But he wasn't sure if he could do that or not.Rope thought back to the Kakeru who had been so impressive to his own self back then, and for a moment he didn't know what to say.

He wasn't sure if he had scared the killer or not. But there was no question that the two had fought.Rope didn't think he'd show mercy when it came to striking out with people either.

At the very least, one would not show mercy when fighting such a fellow who clearly harbored malice towards them.

"My lord, do you know the characteristics of that man?" The High Priest spoke up with some apprehension, "I wish we could be on our guard against him."

Rope briefly told the High Priestess about Kakeru's appearance, but also made it very clear that the Kakeru he knew was the Kakeru from sixty-three years later, and whether there were any other changes in his figure and physical appearance, as well as his attire and dress, sixty-three years ago, Rope himself wasn't very clear.

Sixty-three years was a long time, long enough to bring some people to the end of their lives. So Rope wasn't sure what that person was like now.

Maybe he wasn't as crazy and radical as he had been sixty-three years later?

You always had to meet him to find out.

"Yes, I know my lord."

The sadness on the face of the High Priest did not dissipate, this was simply not something that could be resolved in three or two words. The relocation of an entire village, and more importantly, making it impossible for the other party to track them...

In other words... they would have to give up the Origin that had been by their side since the birth of the village.

They would not be guarding the Origin in the future, or rather, not being guarded by the Origin.

This was ultimately a difficult thing to accept. Not everyone could give up the strength they had already pinched in their hands.

Rope understood that thought well. After all, if you asked Rope to give up all of her strength right now, Rope wouldn't be able to do it either.

But Rope couldn't persuade anything either, this kind of decision was something you had to make on your own. It would be wrong for others to dabble in words.

The High Priest looked at Rope's somewhat tangled face, and once again opened his mouth to ask, "My lord, is there anything else bothering you?"

Did the gods really have something bothering them? The High Priestess was a bit surprised, although they were claiming that they were serving the gods. But in reality, they all knew that they had never met the gods themselves at all. What they themselves had exchanged was nothing more than a share of the gods' power.

If it wasn't for the Origin of Water saying that the person in front of them was a real god, the High Priestess really wouldn't dare to believe this.

The people who were closest to the gods were the ones who knew them the least.

When you hold someone or something to be a god, you can never truly know them.

That's why... don't be a simp...

Rope shook his head and laughed, "There are definitely some, and none of the guys I know are as emotionless as you'd think either. As long as something is alive it won't be perfect. Gods also have seven emotions and six desires."

That's why the nymphs through the ages have been obsessed with coming down to earth and falling in love with humans. Zeus, the king of the gods, cheated on his wife again and again. And Odin would push a child to his death for his own little desire to win.

Perfect gods?

There might be, but Rope really hasn't seen one. Not to mention all these natural and wild gods of the Pokémon world.

Not many of them were perfect or perfect in the true sense of the word.

Rope himself was certainly even less so. He considered himself a human to this day. Never considered himself a qualified god...

"And I won't hide it from you, my main purpose for coming here this time is to take a look at that map."

Rope didn't drag his feet, and since the other party's attitude towards him wasn't hostile, but on the contrary very respectful, he spoke directly.

As soon as Rope mentioned that map, the High Priest understood most of it. After all, there were many maps in this village, but to be able to be called valuable even in the hands of a god, it was only that one map, right?

"Is it that one, the map with all the villages drawn on it?"

Although the High Priestess used a question, she did use an affirmative tone in essence.

"Yes, it's that map. If I want to figure out what's really going on behind all this, I must find that guy and ask him myself."

There was a serious light in Rope's eyes. This was no joke. Though he already had a guess. But he really needed to be sure of his guess now.

The High Priestess nodded and said, "I can understand your need, but..."

She sighed softly.

"What?"

Rope's heart lifted, damn it, don't give yourself all this shit, you're here all by yourself and then tell me this map doesn't exist?

But Sennogi told him that he saw the map back then!

Is it possible that the one who saw the map was not himself?

"That map...if I remember correctly, it should have been lost by Sennogi's grandfather during an outing to explore."

There was also some distress on the face of the High Priest.

Rope, on the other hand, couldn't help but twitch the corners of his mouth.

Was this spacing this playing with him? Was it hard to believe that Sennogi was also lying to himself? But what was the point? Was it so that he could save her village?

Such deception...it didn't make any sense at all ah!

"But I haven't been very concerned about this matter. I thought that the village chief should have more information on his side. After all, the last time I saw him, he mentioned this matter to me."

Seeing Rope's face getting uglier and uglier, the High Priestess could only hurriedly spill the rest of the news she knew. She was also here because she wanted to help Rope solve the problem. And not thinking of filling Rope's shoes.

Rope also sent a sigh of relief when she heard this. It was also unknown if she could gain something from this trip or not.

Originally, he thought that everything would go his way. Until he just recalled what Year did to him and Granny Agatha back then, he realized that his subjective initiative was too poor.

If he keeps swinging like this, he's afraid he won't be able to do anything.

So Rope could only nod and say, "Then I hope to meet with the village chief once as soon as possible to talk about this matter carefully."

"Alright, my lord, I'll go and make arrangements."

"No need you two, I'm already here, what is it, let's talk directly."

The door was pushed open and a tall youth just walked in.

He was tall and had stern eyes, like an eagle or a lion that was patrolling its territory.

So his eyes were far from kind when he saw Rope.

Go back a few minutes.

Sennogi was in deep thought after discussing some basic issues related to the Origin with Mizu.

She was a bit overwhelmed for a moment. After all, this kind of thing couldn't be put on anyone's head fast enough!

But after knowing the reason why everyone said she was suitable to go as a sacrifice, she was relieved. As for why she was so favored by the Water Origin...

Come on, other people's inexplicable kindness isn't always a good thing, but this isn't other people's kindness, it's Sennogi's own physique. Does it mean that even if you're pretty, you have to wonder why you've grown so pretty?

That's why Sennogi doesn't doubt that she's pretty, ah no, it's the matter of being gifted.

What bothered her now was actually why this Rope guy was here.

She was old curious now. She wondered why, exactly, Rope had come here.

On one side, Mizu kept on gossiping about her and Rope. For example, how did they meet, and what did she do with Rope today?

People are gossipy. The gossip of the superior is even more interested to the extreme, not to mention that is not the general superior, that is a god ah!

And with that god together with the gossip people, actually still their own girlfriends alas!

This is not the legendary, gossip into reality. This she certainly can not not gossip a hand ah!

So with Mizu's incessant jumping up and down and Sennogi's half-heartedness, the two of them started to gossip about Rope like crazy.

I don't know when to this side of the village chief has hardened.

Fist hardened.

Motherfucker, what kind of thing is this, only spent one morning with his own sister, and then charmed his own sister into this. Motherfucker, don't want to think that I have to go and see what kind of ingredient this guy is!

Thinking so, the village headman walked out from behind the pillar over there, Seito who followed him couldn't help but jump at the corner of his eyes when he looked at the sulking color on the face of his own village headman, he knew that the village headman couldn't possibly be calm when faced with something related to Sennogi.

So with a sigh he could only follow.

And as they were walking out, Sennogi and Mizu had seen him.

"Brother! What are you doing here?!"

Sennogi had a look of surprise on his face and took three steps forward.

A wide and gentle smile appeared on the village chief's face.

"I was just passing by and then stopped by."

Seito was too embarrassed to speak, you were just passing by? How long have you been listening to the walls somewhere.

Just as Sennogi was about to continue talking to his own brother.

They both heard the word 'village chief'.

These rooms weren't small, but the soundproofing wasn't very good. After all, it was the workshop of a common priest, and while it was built with care, it didn't have some soundproofing on purpose.

And so Rope and the Great Sacrifice's words could be faintly heard even from here.

But Mizu and Sennogi both had a puzzled look on their faces.

Because they had just been unable to hear any sound at all, but now they were able to hear it.

This was, of course, Rope's doing. There were some things that could be told to Sennogi and the girls. But there were some things that really couldn't be told to them.

And this thing about the map...it was something that Rope specifically left out.

Or rather...it was left out for the people who should hear it.

"Ha, looks like people called me."

The Chief had a smile on his face, but there was little laughter in his eyes.

"Then I can go in and take a look."
