"What the hell did you and my brother and the others talk about today?"
In the warmth of the room, Sennogi cleared her plate and looked at Rope, who was seated in a chair with a contented look on her face, with a puzzled look on her face.
A roaring fire burned in the room's fireplace, and the air throughout the room was warm and dry. This was the wetlands. Almost everyone was plagued with that damp climate and cold, wet winters.
However, since they had money, the villagers in the village would usually raise a fire-attribute Pokémon. They didn't raise them before because there were none here...
And fire-type Pokémon aren't that easy to find.
The Sinnoh region itself has very few fire-type Pokémon...
The Sen Mizu Wetlands are also not suitable for Pokémon other than Water and Grass-type Pokémon. There's certainly no problem if you want to raise them. What they have to deal with is a huge extra burden.
All kinds of nutrients for other attributes would have to be bought for no fun at all.
If they didn't have the money anymore, they would more than likely still be forcing themselves to endure the cold and wet climate of these thousands of years, right?
Of course, tonight, that Pyroar crouching in the corner of the living room really didn't feel that important.
The young man who had been flapping his stomach like a seal at the dining room table had practically dried out the entire room just by snapping his fingers...
Lighting the fire without knowing what he'd done.
Pyroar was blinded. And the moment he saw Rope's face, his whole lion spaced this Spartan.
It was almost a sense of submission engraved deep in his energy.
He didn't even think of moving a muscle. All he wanted to do was kneel at that Lord's feet and beg for his gifts.
Then Rope gave him a kick and told him to get lost.
He got the hell out of there.
Nonsense, this kind of big man told you to get lost, you don't dare to follow, and you still want to be in front of people to get familiar with it?
Rope doesn't care about this little lion. This little lion has no special ability, itself was bought back as a dryer and lighter use, incidentally in the morning can also be used as an alarm clock.
In addition to that, I really don't expect this guy to be able to fight.
After all, if you really want to say... this village really doesn't have any need for combat power. If the outside world wanted to come in, they would have to get past those Pokémon on the periphery. If it was the Pokémon that wanted to fight their way in...
It wouldn't help if you brought a champion here.
There had to be at least 30 or more Elite Four level or higher Pokémon in the outside world, and there had to be 3 Champion level ones... and even one half a point stronger.
With that being said, this could all be considered a fighting force capable of pushing across a party's Alliance's top tier of combatants.
Even the current Sinnoh League wouldn't necessarily be able to stand up to it completely on their own.
So that being said, the defense force they needed was a champion, plus four Heavenly Kings. If not, then there was no point in pursuing it.
Having a good relationship with the Pokémon Masters outside, or welling up was the best option.
So the village didn't have much of a defense force right now.
However, Rope could still feel... in the middle of that big lake, there was a Pokémon that had a very strong connection with its origin lurking there. It didn't necessarily have any special feelings for the village, but it wouldn't just stand by and watch the village be destroyed either.
Incidentally, this Pokémon can only be handled by a Champion at full strength...
"It's not much, it's just that what I want is indeed within reach." Rope's words were followed by a hint of worry rising on his face, "Probably."
According to the original course of history, Rope was able to get that map, but exactly how and from where, or whether she really got it or faked it, Rope wasn't even sure...
Ever since coming to this time and space, Rope had felt more and more that time was mysterious and best kept away.
Celebi, who originally felt like an underdog, was instantly elevated. After all, being able to manipulate the power of time and space was really oxymoronic!
"Er, what's up, any more surprises?"
Sennogi had also heard from her brother that Rope had actually come here to look for one thing.
But similar to Rope's words, the process of finding this thing, most likely won't be that smooth.
Rope was also helpless. After all, Takeshi had made it clear when he told him.
"I haven't seen that thing since I was a kid. The throw was lost by my grandfather. The clue was found by my dad. I'm not interested in that thing, and I have no intention of looking for it. You're willing to find it, no problem, if you're not, I don't have a piece."
Takeshi could be quite honest when he said that. and Rope was quite impressed with the guy's heart.
It was said like it was none of his business if Rope could find it or not. But in reality, the subtext of these words was...
''If you're really interested and find it, give it to me if you want to, and if you don't, it's fine if I keep it for myself.''
It was obvious that Takeshi really didn't care about the map.
In fact, it was normal. What this map recorded was the location of all the villages. It was roughly the home addresses of a whole bunch of poor relatives. Seriously, when you're poor, it's okay, people still look out for each other.
When you are, you have to start thinking about how you can keep these poor relatives from finding the location of your home. This should continue until you are rich to a certain point.
The map is lost so you can't be contacted.
That's a good reason is all.
Rope shook his head silently as well, the High Priestess' assessment of Takeshi was really pertinent.
There was subtlety in the mangaka.
Almost every decision was made to advance his own interests.
But Rope was too lazy to care about his business, he was now thinking of hurrying up to get the map in his hands, and then properly prepare the planA and BCD that he had made earlier.
These were back-up plans that would be messed with when there was time, and without time it was true that they could be abandoned.
"Can't help it, that thing's been lost for too long, let's wait until I find it."
Rope didn't make it clear to Sennogi what he was looking for either. He really wanted to be the Riddler to the end now. It was just too much fun.
Sennogi helplessly gave Rope a blank stare before heading over to the kitchen with his cleaned plate.
Rope, on the other hand, sat back in his chair in style like a lord and enjoyed the leisure time after the meal. Of course it was true that not everyone was as comfortable as Rope.
For example...
The cold wind blew on Katsuhisa's face with a hint of moisture.
Katsuhisa's face was very complicated as she looked at the large wetland in front of her.
He made a quick trip here today. Because a Staraptor was really enthusiastic. It must carry him and fly him here. He also agreed to the other party's request with gratitude, and then after arriving here, he said goodbye to the Staraptor in earnest.
Farewell forever.
But when he came here, he felt that he couldn't feel the location of the Origin...
What does that mean?
It meant that Katsuhisa would have to search around this huge Sen Mizu wetland...
Until he finds that little village.
As for why he doesn't know the location of Sen Mizu Village...
If you think about it, you'll realize that this guy came here by choosing the extremely primitive Pokémon Flight...
Although small cars weren't popular in this day and age, things like trains had long been the tool of choice for long distance travel.
It was fast, sheltered from the wind and rain, food, and even a good night's sleep...
But Katsuhisa didn't know any of these things existed.
He's been in his village for a long time. So long that the guy had never even been exposed to modern human society.
In his own words.
"A high and mighty god can always do everything by himself."
Katsuhisa had a self-respecting arrogance in her eyes.
Looking at this vast wetland. This self-proclaimed godly human took a big step towards the location where he had originally sensed the Origin after giving himself a mind-blowing dose of chicken soup.
Then the first foot...
"Why is there a mud pit here?"
A delinquent frog not far away looked at this somewhat insane human and was about to open his mouth to laugh, but in the next instant he shivered, the trait of danger precognition causing him to wince as he looked at the human in front of him and quickly fled the area with a pace that didn't at all resemble the usual dangling pace.
Out of his element Katsuhisa calmed himself.
Pulling his foot out of the pit of cement, just in the process of lifting it, all the muddy water was separated from his foot. If there wasn't a visible water trail. Then that foot, after stepping into the mud pit, was not at all different from before stepping into the mud pit.
Shaking his head, Ke then bypassed this mud pit and continued on.
But what he didn't realize was...there wasn't much else in the Sen Mizu Wetlands...but there were definitely a lot of pits.
On the other side of the table, Takeshi threw his pen down on the table and then preserved his head in some pain.
He had always had the personality to do what he said he would do. Since everyone had already decided to drag the entire village away and relocate it even if they had to drag it forcibly. Then they would definitely do it.
But... just like Rope brought up, the place needed for such a large-scale outward relocation was a thing to think about in itself. And would that guy who hadn't met yet but didn't sound like a nice guy when he did, really leave their village alone that easily?
That's why those disguises were also to be done.
Piece by piece, all of them were individually difficult to solve.
This thing, the Origin, the Great Sacrifice would never let go of. If the Great Sacrifice doesn't let go, then a large portion of the village will stand in the way of the Great Sacrifice even if they die. Or they would follow the Great Sacrifice after her generous sacrifice.
The Great Sacrifice believed in the god that was so ethereal that no one had seen it with their own eyes for thousands of years.
The villagers, on the other hand, believed in this nearly hundred-year-old, but still like a young girl.
She is their faith. It sounds like a lot of bullshit, but it does seem so normal now...
The Great Sacrifice itself was the best miracle of all.
So at this point, even if the gods themselves arrive, as long as the Great Sacrifice doesn't recognize it, then it's a false god.
So if we go by what Rope is looking at, Sennogi's end is pretty much doomed, only she can manipulate the Water Origin to form the kind of seal that leaves nothing for anyone else to do.
In other words...
His sister must sleep for more than sixty years in the middle of that cold, solid ice...
Isn't it a bit too hard for a brother to accept this.
Takeshi took a deep breath before lifting his pen to scribble on the paper again, refining and tweaking his plan.
If this plan didn't accomplish the idea he wanted...then he'd rather just sacrifice Origin and everyone else...his and the High Priestess's purposes didn't really overlap.
The two of them would almost certainly flip out if things got desperate.
A bean of candlelight illuminated a desk.
A sliver of moonlight illuminated a courtyard.
One man, one pen.
Planning one's life.
But forgetting the most important point.
Man, born free.
The sun lifted its black quilt and revealed the part of itself that was already dressed. Spreading out a bright morning light.
Pyroar yawned and scampered up to the roof in a single bound, letting out a loud growl cloaked in the red morning light.
The old him had thought of becoming a powerful Pokémon, galloping across the grasslands and living that day like it was the past.
But the way things were now, it seemed that being a swinging lion under a human would be a pretty good day.
Other than the lack of a beautiful lioness and the fact that the living environment here was not very comfortable for him, there was nothing else that he was dissatisfied with. Life? That's how it is, since you can't resist, you might as well pick a pose you like.
Rope sat up from the bed listening to the mid-air growl and yawned before moving towards getting up and out of bed, ready to go out.
He ended up seeing Sennogi, who was busy in the kitchen, just as he got out of the door, and his whole body froze.
Of course, the person who was even more dumbfounded than him was Takeshi who was fully dressed and ready to go out to buy dinner.
Looking at Sennogi in the kitchen, who was still only preparing a simple but by no means skimpy breakfast, it was as if he was getting to know his sister for the first time.
"Sennogi, you..."
"Brother, you're awake! Hurry up and sit down, the meal will be ready soon, we're still eating congee today!"
Sennogi didn't wait for Takeshi to finish before she immediately looked at Rope and spoke with a gentle face, "Rope, you go ahead and get ready too, the meal will be ready soon."
Rope nodded somewhat confused. He had inquired with Takeshi yesterday about where the village's breakfast store was. Thought he'd get their siblings some breakfast in the morning and then get ready to head out to find that map himself.
After all, the map thing was really crucial, and there was no way Rope was going to give it up.
But Rope also didn't expect that the first surprise of the day would actually be this, Sennogi this girl actually got up so early to cook????
This was simply breaking Rope's basic knowledge.
"Er, good!"
Rope nodded a little dumbfounded nor did he think anything else.
Rope and Takeshi both looked at each other who were a bit dumbfounded.
