Astraea's POV
The door creaked softly, and when I looked up from my spot on the bed, I was surprised to find Zephyra standing in the doorway. Her face was unreadable, neither frightened nor calm, just… focused.
I straightened a little, a bit on guard. "What are you doing here?" I asked, narrowing my eyes slightly. "Did you see something again? Are you okay?"
She didn't say anything at first. Her steps were quiet as she walked in, shutting the door gently behind her. She didn't look panicked or unwell, which only made the whole thing more confusing. I sat up fully, waiting for her to explain, but she didn't stop until she reached the edge of the bed.
"Zephyra?" I said again, this time slower and more cautious.
But instead of answering, she simply climbed up onto the bed. I blinked, stunned, as she slowly made her way toward me, not once breaking eye contact.
"Zephyra, what are you doing?"
When she was directly in front of me, barely a breath away, she finally spoke.
