Meanwhile, the other villages continued fighting, with each battle consuming more resources and lives.
This strategy ensured that Kumogakure emerged from the war not only less weakened but also better positioned to face the challenges that the uncertain future of the ninja world would bring.
-----
With the end of the war, Kumogakure welcomed back many of its ninjas from the battlefield with relief and pride.
Among them were A and his young adoptive brother, Killer Bee—both sons of the Third Raikage.
The two had shown remarkable courage and skill during the conflict, even despite Killer Bee's young age. At only nine years old, he had already fought alongside his brother on several missions.
A and Killer Bee soon crossed paths with Renji, who escorted them back to the heart of the village.
It was then that they met Yoruichi, cheerfully walking between Kimiko and Zoma, holding each of their hands as they moved forward together, a mission in mind.
The mission was clear: to bring the two brothers together.
Yoruichi, with her childlike smile, seemed to enjoy the moment as if it were a game. Spotting Renji in the distance, she let go of Kimiko and Zoma's hands and dashed toward him.
"Reenjiiiii!" she shouted as she ran.
Without slowing down, she leaped up, wrapping her legs around his neck and grabbing his hair to avoid falling.
"Yoruichi, behave yourself…" sighed Renji, adjusting her with one hand while she stuck her tongue out playfully.
From her perch on Renji's shoulders, Yoruichi pointed at A and Killer Bee, who were watching her with evident curiosity.
"Who are they?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.
"They're the Raikage's sons, A Jr. and Killer Bee. Show some respect, Yoruichi," Renji said, giving her a serious look.
Ignoring the warning, Yoruichi hopped down and stood confidently in front of the brothers.
"So, you're Grandpa Lightning's kids?" she asked, crossing her arms.
A raised an eyebrow and looked at Renji in confusion.
"Grandpa Lightning?"
Renji sighed, lifting Yoruichi by the back of her shirt like a kitten.
"That's what she calls your father. Yoruichi, what did I tell you about speaking respectfully about the Third Raikage?"
Yoruichi just stuck her tongue out again.
"Grandpa Lightning told me I could call him that, so he's Grandpa Lightning!" she said with a wide grin, as Renji set her back down on the ground with a resigned sigh.
Without missing a beat, Yoruichi stepped up to Killer Bee and pointed at his sunglasses.
"Hey, why do you wear shades when there's no sun?"
Killer B grinned widely, radiating energy, and replied in his signature style:

Yoruichi's eyes lit up with excitement.
"Oh, I get it! You like to rap, don't you?" she said as she plucked a blade of grass from the ground and stuck it in her mouth. With a sparkle in her eyes, she struck an exaggerated rapper pose.
With enthusiasm, she improvised:

Passersby began watching the scene, some surprised, others amused. Renji and A, observing from a short distance, let out a synchronized sigh.
"Can you two settle down a bit?" Renji groaned, rubbing his forehead.
A, arms crossed, couldn't help but smile slightly as he watched his brother enjoying himself so much.
Killer B and Yoruichi exchanged a mischievous glance, then grinned wide. As if perfectly in sync, they stood shoulder to shoulder and pointed skyward with their fingers.

"No need to ask. Here."
Excited, Yoruichi snatched it up immediately and began scribbling enthusiastically as they walked forward.
Renji and A, trailing behind, exchanged a resigned look.

A gave a small smile as he watched his brother writing happily next to Yoruichi, who kept spouting ridiculous ideas.

"What's a Teletubby?" asked Killer B, intrigued.

As the group made their way toward the Raikage's Tower, Kimiko and Zoma were left behind, forgotten in the middle of the crowd.
"They ditched us, didn't they?" Kimiko said, crossing her arms.
"Yeah… totally forgot about us," Zoma replied with a sigh.
Kimiko glanced at him, unsure what to do with the free day she had set aside to accompany Yoruichi.
"Well… wanna grab something to eat?" Zoma offered, scratching the back of his neck as a slight blush rose to his cheeks.
Kimiko looked at him for a moment before smiling.
"Alright! But you're paying. Let's go get some empanadas."
Without waiting for a reply, Kimiko grabbed Zoma's hand and started walking, pulling him in the opposite direction of the Raikage's Tower.
"I invited you! Of course, I'm paying," Zoma responded, doing his best not to stumble as he followed her.
From a distance, Yoruichi watched them disappear, adjusting a pair of imaginary "glasses" on her face.
"Everything went exactly according to my plan," she whispered before letting out a theatrical laugh and slicking her hair back.
"What are you laughing about?" asked Killer B, curious.
Thinking quickly, Yoruichi blurted:
"A scene I imagined in my head."
"What scene?"
Yoruichi struck a dramatic pose before proudly explaining:
"I imagined the Ghost of the Uchiha fighting someone, and suddenly I ran in, kicked him, and shouted: 'Ka-chow!'"
Killer B looked at her, a bit confused, but couldn't help letting out a nervous laugh.
"You get it?" Yoruichi said, laughing hard. "'Take my Lightning McQueen kick, Madara… Ka-chow!'"
Imitating a deep, epic voice, she added:
"'I declare you the strongest'… and then, BAM! Ka-chow!"
Yoruichi couldn't stop laughing, and soon, passersby began turning to look at her.
Killer B simply thought, Great, I made friends with the crazy one.
And just like that, Yoruichi's laughter became contagious, turning the walk to the Raikage's Tower into an unforgettable spectacle.
When the group arrived at the Raikage's Tower, A stepped ahead to announce their arrival, leaving Yoruichi and Killer B still lost in their jokes and laughter.
Renji watched them from behind, arms crossed and letting out a sigh.
"When did we become the ones following those two?" he muttered, clearly confused.
Inside the tower, the Raikage waited in his usual firm stance, arms crossed and gaze stern.
Beside him, Denji stood with his typical apathetic demeanor… at least until he saw his daughter walk in.
In that instant, a warm spark lit up his eyes. However, that warmth faded quickly when he noticed Killer B walking alongside Yoruichi. His gaze sharpened, almost like a predator guarding its territory.
Killer B felt a chill run down his spine and quickly raised his hand in greeting.
"H-Hi, Uncle Denji. Sorry, I didn't say hi earlier…" Killer B stammered nervously.
Yoruichi noticed the exchange and, without missing a beat, ran toward her father, throwing herself into his arms with a bright smile.
"Daddy, look! I made a friend!" she said, proudly pointing at Killer B, who now seemed to be sweating more than during a hardcore training session.
Denji stared at him intently, like he was sizing up a thief caught red-handed.
But after a moment of reflection, he remembered that Yoruichi was only a year and seven months old, which helped him relax a little… but just a little.
Yoruichi hopped out of her father's arms and ran up to the Raikage, greeting him with energy.
"Hi, Grandpa Lightning! Look! I made friends with your son, but don't worry—you're still my favorite grandpa! Okay?"
The Raikage couldn't help but smile at her excitement. Then he glanced at Killer B, who looked both embarrassed and happy.
The scene filled him with satisfaction—he knew his adoptive son rarely connected with anyone outside the family.
"That's good, little Yoruichi. I hope you two keep getting along," the Raikage said, nodding in approval.
"Of course we will! We already have a plan! We're gonna rap in the village square and make tons of yen!" Yoruichi declared, her eyes sparkling like coins.
"Huh?" Killer B blinked, completely thrown off. "What plan?"
"Yeah! We'll stand in the square, rap, and make the ninjas and civilians throw money at us. Easy!" Yoruichi said, her eyes now imagining floating yen signs all around her.
Denji let out a laugh but then frowned as he realized someone was missing.
"Yoruichi, where are Kimiko and Zoma? Didn't they leave with you?"
Yoruichi, with a mischievous smile and lips curved like a cat face [:3], answered:
"I didn't even notice, I just left with Renji and let them figure it out."
Denji was surprised, but then he smiled, imagining those two goofballs finally making some progress.
"Well, it's about time… Those two were completely stuck."
The comment made the adults around burst out laughing.
"Finally! Being in the same room with those two was unbearable. Neither had the guts to make the first move," Renji said, crossing his arms with satisfaction.
While everyone talked, Yoruichi kept her catlike grin, thinking to herself: Everything's going according to plan… Mwahahaha.
Hearing Renji's comment, the Raikage fixed his gaze on him and said:
"And you, Renji, you sure talk a lot but don't move much. When are you getting a girlfriend?"
The whole room burst into laughter—except for Renji, who scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.
Yoruichi, meanwhile, widened her grin and set a new mental goal.
"Mission 2: Find Renji a partner."
She imagined the potential rewards:
Mini Renjis running all over the place.
And the risks:
Renji dying alone… extinction of future Mini Renjis… mutant Renji emerging from the sewers—risk level: 80%.
"I'm gonna get you a girlfriend, Renji. Don't worry—I've got this."
