The human from another species was highly uncooperative, although he could easily be made to talk and talk without end, the value of the sentences he would string up together was dubious at best, and worthless babbling at worse, sometimes, what would be spouted would hardly count as a sentence anyways.
In the end, the blasse-fusse repeated the same things over and over again, and torturing him turned out to greatly ungratifying, he was in pain, he screamed and squirmed, but the little bastard was totally insane, and it was the sort of insanity that made people imagine that the elves of santa claus were secretly governing the world and that they were after you specifically for some reason, such delusions could not be challenged in any ways, the wanderer would just dig deeper and find justifications to explain his mad reasoning.
One could only nod and agree, but that wasn't going to get Edrick the answer he wanted either, so he just ended up crushing the lost one's neck.
Making good use of the time before rigor mortis took hold, he placed the body into a position as compact as was possible, and stashed the corpse into his bag, Anoteros patted himself on the back for carrying such a big sack around.
Although a fine gourmet and an enjoyer of dishes most would deem bizarre or even repugnant, Anoteros had never found human flesh to be of much interest, being who he was, he had naturally tried it in his previous life.
Now however, he had an incentive to do it, his new bloodline made it so partaking in cannibalism granted an increase to his physique, even if minuscule, there was no reason to ignore such a simple way of gaining strength.
His earlier interrogation had not gotten a response yet, so perhaps a human from a different species would not count, but it wouldn't hurt to try anyways.
Edrick brought his hand up to his left ear, a most unpleasant pain radiating from within, accompanied by bleeding and an obnoxious sound that made it seem like a panicked mosquito had been trapped directly inside of his head.
'That scream seemed to function similarly to the white sasquatch's roar, only that this one is not just a very powerful roar accompanied by a natural battle art, was this just something this species can do normally, or was it an actual battle art? It could probably be a bunch of other ways of power as well, I suppose…' he shrugged and looked around, partially expecting the wanderer to have had some company, but it seemed like he had been all alone in the woods, with nothing better to do than bang his head against a tree and apparently try to use some sort of bewitching hex to eat people.
He made his way back to the city, draped in warm clothing from head to toe, no one noticed his injury, and as per usual, no one bothered to check if he had anything suspicious on his person, the outer disciples doing gate duty would barely even dare to look him in the eyes.
Anoteros decided that it would probably be wiser to go and see Ku Xing and Ting Zhenniao first and foremost, they would probably know something about the blasse-fusse, and he did need some healing.
Whilst walking up the stairs leading to the main building however, snow still falling, the wind still howling, he ran into Xiao, who was just sitting on one of the steps with an expression that clearly was one of someone deep in thought, if the fact that he had not reacted to Edrick's presence was not enough to be convincing of that fact.
Leaning forward, Anoteros snapped his fingers right in front of the young man's face, shaking him out of his trance.
"Whoa- Huh? Edrick?"
"That is me- What's the big deal? Did emptying your barrels give you enlightenment or something?"
"Empty my barrels? Ah… Actually, that didn't happen in the end"
Anoteros felt curious all of a sudden.
"Why is that? You told me that she was inviting you to her dormitory, right? How could it have not turned out as a happy ending?" he asked, rubbing his chin as he casually sat next to the protagonist.
Xiao seemed to hesitate whether to speak, but ended up singing.
"Well, you see… At first, it seemed like it would be going there, you know? She locked the door, and she quite literally pounced on me, we kissed and touched one another, we ended up on her bed, but when it came to… Do the deed, she became all embarrassed and got cold feet, but like, genuinely turned as red as tomato and panicked to the point that I had to calm her down"
"If I may ask… What exactly was going on when she turned nervous?"
Xiao coughed in his hand, trying to find the right words.
The protagonist ignored the emerald-coloured spectre that was laughing his ass off and still exclaiming congratulations and covered his face with both hands.
"Basically, I pulled out my junk and she got scared, because- 'She had no idea they were so big', I mean, that's kinda cute I guess, but I sort of expected her to have a grasp of that sort of thing considered that she is the one who invited me over, see what I mean?" explained Xiao, turning to Anoteros.
The noble scion was visibly trembling as he resisted the urge to laugh.
"So basically… Your cock is too big?"
"...I guess… But I mean, it's not a world record or anything, I thought it was pretty average- I mean, something about this length is average, right?" he tried to give an idea using his hands.
"I don't really know the average size, Xiao, but I do have a pretty good idea of the average depth of a woman, so I would say that it is indeed pretty large, but why are you staring into space on the stairs outside? Surely it can't be that big of a deal" Edrick shrugged, standing back up.
"She'll get over it, and who knows? Maybe she'll spread the rumours that you are packing a weapon in your pants, Ahahah!"
"Oh god…"
"Anyways, I got yelled at and am bleeding, so I'll see you later, my offer from last time still stands, by the way" Anoteros began to leave without doing or saying anything too crazy, or at least, nothing that would imply that there was antagonism in between the two of them.
Xiao groaned.
"Bleeding from being yelled at? What does that even mean?" choosing to ignore the second part of what Edrick said, the protagonist was a bit confused.
"I ran into the dark sasquatch, turns out he was a roar attack of some sorts, bastard escaped this time, but I feel confident that I'll get it eventually"
"Is that so? You faced that beast and came out almost unharmed? That's pretty impressive"
"I am just very durable, is all" and with that, Anoteros disappeared into the sect's main building.
