Logan looked away. "You mean the part where she said, 'We've been married so long and still have no kids—can't you understand how badly I want to be a dad?'"
He repeated Angelica's words word-for-word.
Selina lowered her head and murmured, almost inaudibly, "Yeah."
"You care a lot about that?" he asked.
"It's not that… I just mean, don't you have any thoughts about it?"
Logan's tone was calm. "What thoughts should I have?"
"Don't you want children?" Selina asked.
His expression softened slightly. So that's what had been on her mind.
"Do you like kids, Selina?"
The sudden shift caught her off guard. Her tongue tangled. "I… I don't know."
Logan seemed to understand. He didn't press her, just laid it all out plainly.
"If you like kids and want one, then I'll try."
He paused. "If you don't like them, or don't want any, I'll respect that too."
Selina frowned. "But I'm asking what you want."
