After Barry returns to his apartment, he jumps on his bed, lies down, and closes his eyes.
It looks like he has fallen asleep instantly, but no. His body is here, but his soul has reconnected with the speed force, becoming one with it.
Barry meets his alter ego, his other self, standing before him silently, doing nothing.
It's weird seeing himself, well, what he looked like in the past.
"I am here to check a few of my memories," Barry says.
"I know," his alter ego, the speed force, answers.
Barry opens his mouth to question how he knows, but then realizes that he is just talking to himself, so he shuts his mouth. It is still a weird feeling.
He is the other half of the speed force, but his physical existence feels so different, as if the speed force and he are two completely different entities, but no, they are the same.
The only reason Barry feels like this is because he is constrained within the three dimensions of space and one dimension of time in his physical body. He sees the world through a mortal's perspective, while his other self sees reality as it is.
A being that transcends dimensions and lives outside of its influence.
"I think you no longer need me to guide us around ourselves," Barry's alter ego speaks.
"No, I don't. I have the grasp of it now," Barry says.
"Then this might be the last time you will see our past life's face, unless you summon it by your own will," the alter ego says.
"Yes, if I summon it by our own will," Barry confirms.
The alter ego then turns into partials of lightning and merges with the lightning storm that is all around Barry.
Barry then walks towards a door that appears before him. He pushes it open and walks in, finding himself inside his room. The one from his past life, the same one that is filled with comic books and action figures of superheroes.
Barry then walks up to the couch and sits down, turning on the TV. A folder named Memory can be seen on the screen.
Barry opens the folder and begins browsing through until he stops at the Flash TV show memories. The world he thought he was in, but by now, he knows it's not the same world.
Batman wasn't active in the Flash TV show world, but in his reality, he is still alive and kicking; he is also still young and has a Robin by his side.
Barry doesn't know which Robin it is, but that shouldn't concern him right now.
Barry shifts through the episodes when he finally sees the familiar face.
The face of the man that Barry beat up tonight.
Barry skims through the show and finally realizes why he found the man familiar; he turned out to be his childhood bully.
A chuckle escapes Barry as he realizes this. His current past self must have really hated this guy for him to get that familiar feeling.
Well, that part of him no longer exists, and the man Barry is now is no longer intimidated or afraid of anyone.
Now that he knew why he found the Man of Steel or Girder familiar, Barry thought of leaving, but then he changed his mind.
He decides to binge-watch the Flash TV show to jog his memory.
Barry then spends hours watching seasons one to four before his Flash TV show memories come to an end.
First confused by only seeing four seasons, but then he recalls how after season four, the show went down the drain, and he stopped watching it.
He, of course, doesn't have access to what he hasn't seen.
"Time to leave," Barry says and closes his eyes, and the next time he opens them, he opens them in the real world.
He looks up at his ceiling and then turns his head to look at the table clock. Only two hours have gone by.
Barry closes his eyes again, trying to sleep, but he doesn't feel tired or sleepy.
"What should I do?" he questions and takes out his phone.
He then thinks of something and sends Caitlin a message.
[You busy?] After a few seconds, he gets a reply back. [No, just got home a few minutes ago,] Caitlin replies. [So... do you want some company?] Barry sends a question. [I would like that...] Caitlin replies.
As soon as he sees this message, he gets out of his house and super speed and within minutes appears before Caitlin's house. He rings the bell, and as soon as the door opens, the two fall into each other's arms and spend the rest of the night entangled in each other's naked bodies while Caitlin's loud moans sound throughout the night in an uncontrollable act of passion and lust.
