After a while of walking, lost in his thoughts about what he was going to do, all while trying to fit the pieces together, he leaned against an archway, with his mind occupied, not realizing that he was being watched. While leaning over the railing near one of the archways, he took out a small card. One of the ones given to him during the second gathering.
The name that was on the card was not printed, but the wax symbol was familiar, an insignia tied to the house the mysterious woman had stood near, even if she never formally introduced herself.
"Just what did you mean by those things that you said," he muttered.
He had followed threads over the last day. Quiet inquiries. Short conversations in noble libraries, even bribes to a record-keeper. The woman was Lady Elanora, third cousin to the last queen and was the current queen consort of the kingdom, once rumored to have had a child who died mysteriously two decades ago.
