The battle dragged on. Without poison damage and with the boss's absurdly high defense, its HP was dropping at an agonizingly slow pace. Thankfully, it didn't have any healing skills.
Soon, another meteor shower rained from the sky, massive rocks hurtling toward Ethan. Fortunately, Void was off cooldown. He immediately activated it and dashed out of the impact zone.
As Void ended, the two figures clashed once more. Suddenly, a heavy gravitational force struck, and Ethan's heart skipped a beat. Every time the boss cast this, it signaled an ultimate move, and Ethan had a good guess what was coming.
Without hesitation, he activated Thunderbody. Phantom Plume flared open behind him, launching him into the air. While in Thunderbody, Ethan was immune to control effects—the gravity couldn't keep him grounded.
Just as expected, a barrage of stone spikes erupted from the ground below. Had he hesitated for even a moment, he would've been respawning by now.
