"Your majesty, we have come to your Kingdom to seek aid from you...we wish to borrow the Great Adventurer, Momon of Darkness." Gustav spoke to the Supreme One.
Remedious, although a powerful knight was intellectually lacking, so she would always rely of Gustav, her assistant, to guide her through Political and Military maneuvers, where brain power was required.
"I have heard that, the demon Jaldabaoth launched an invasion by gathering the scattered demi-human tribes." Hyortr suddenly asked, his steady gaze upon the humans.
"Ah-yes." Thinking it would be the Sorcerer King that would reply, Gustav was momentarily taken aback, but a beat latter he promptly answered. "We heard that the Great Momon, defeated Jaldabaoth last time he attacked E-rantel. We were hoping to acquire him for a time, so that he can drive Jaldabaoth out of our kingdom."
"Yes, it is true Momon can drive that Demon out. But have you considered the organisation he is a part of?" Hyortr then asked.
"I-uh.." Under the stress of the Kingdom being under attack and their Holy King being missing, they completely glossed over this critical point. "We... didn't account for that."
Gustav replied, a little unsure of what to do now.
Their entire plan revolved around Momon occupying Jaldabaoth in a fight as they would free the captives from the clutches of the demihumans. The unknown variable known as Orovas was completely forgotten.
They were perfectly aware that Orovas was equal or even a greater threat than Jaldabaoth. Just the news of him decimating the whole Noble District of the Re-estize Kingdoms with a single spell was enough to hold him in the level of Jaldabaoth's Meteor he used in the invasion.
Well, how would these feeble humans know the difference between a tenth Tier and a Super tier spell?
The magic, Meteor would strike a large area of surface and inflict maximum explosives damage. But it doesn't guarantee a complete kill, since powerful defencive spells and equipments can reduce or negate the damage.
While the Fallen Down Spell of the Prismatic Spear is a hundred percent kill attack that can only be avoided if the reciever has a World Item or Casts a specific counter super tier spell.
"You humans always thinks about what to do at the present, how would your fragile consider the future?" Albedo harshly commented as she scoffed.
"Albedo, they are our guest. Mind your tongue." Ainz suddenly spoke as he turned towards the humans.
The humans took a small gulp unconsciously as they avoided making any eye contact.
"I would have gladly lent you Momon, but due to some restrictions I won't be able to allow Momon to travel with you. I can, though, lend him to you after four years."
"But by that time the kingdom would be overrun bu those beasts!!" Remedios' abrupt outburst scared the humans as well as poor Ainz internally, who was just reciting what was written in the script.
"Leader! Please calm down!" Gustav tried to calm her down.
"How can I? Don't you know how cruel those beasts are?! In four years what would remain to salvage?! Where is your justice!?" Remedios' rebuked shut down any reasoning Gustav tried to project.
"Justice you say, what rights do you have to claim justice when you are too weak to even protect your people?" Hyortr asked.
"You..!" Remedios' gritted her teeth as she glared at the Lector but a voice from behind caught her attention.
"We know!..." Neia Baraja, daughter of Pabel Baraja confessed. "We know that we are weak, we...were unable to save our people, our Princess. But we also want to protect those who are still hoping for us to rescue them, we want to strive for those people who has put their trust on us that they may be saved from that hell.... that's why... that's why we have come before you Oh Great King.
Please, for the sake of Justice, for the sake of our people, could you have some pity...save us.."
"Neia..." Gustav and the rest of the knights gazed at Neia who gave such an heartfelt speech.
"....I shall think about it." Ainz spoke as he teleported away.
*Sigh*
A collective sigh escaped from the knights as they felt the ease on the pressure exuded by Ainz.
"Guests from Roble Holy Kingdom, a maid will guide you to your chambers please follow her. " Hyortr spoke as a maid soon entered the chamber.
"Thankyou for your hospitality." Gustav gave a slight bow as he and Remedios led the knights.
After the doors closed Albedo turned towards Hyortr.
"The plan is going smoothly."
"Yes, and a seed has already been planted, what we need to do now is to nurture and fertilize it, so that it can grow as a weed that will destroy that Kingdom." Hyortr spoke as looked at the door where Neia left.
------
Back in the lodge where The knights were staying.
"Neia Baraja!! What on earth were you saying back there!? Do you realise the consequences if that Elder Lich took offence!?" Remedios' screamed as she gripped Neia by her collar, choking her.
"Leader! Please let go of Neia. She has done nothing wrong. Infact it may even make the Sorcerer King have some sympathy on us." Gustav tried to calm Remedios down which worked.
"Huh!" Hearing Gustav's words she scoffed though she released Neia who coughed for air. "As if an Undead will understand passion and sympathy."
"Neia Baraja, your interjection could have led to us being unable to acquire the adventurer Momon. Do you have any idea how much problem it could have dropped us on?" Remedios continued her scolding.
"I .... know."
"It wasn't her fault." A voice suddenly spoke as the knights turned towards the corner.
"How did you get inside?!" Remedios demanded as she held her Sword's hilt, ready to strike at the first sign of an attack.
"Calm down, Knight Grandmaster. I am here to simply talk and relay Lord Ainz's words." Hyortr spoke as he stepped out from the shadow.
"His Majesty Sorcerer King?"
"Yes, he has agreed to help you." Hyortr answered.
"Then!"
"No, we still won't be able to send Momon."
"As you know, the majority of the public consists of humans and Lord Ainz being an Undead isn't the most compassionate looking for those humans. Thus, we need a powerful entity, who can be a bridge between us and those humans." Hyortr slowly explained as they say around a table.
"The adventurer Momon." Gustav guessed who thise entity was.
"Yes." Hyortr nodded. "So if Lord Ainz were to send Momon to help you, the absence of him here will be disastrous for us to administer."
"Then..how does the Sorcerer King plan to help us?" Gustav asked, worry evident in his tone.
"He will go with you." Hyortr calmly spoke.
"I see..." The knights also calmly nodded, when suddenly they realised something.
"Wait! The Sorcerer King himself will help us!?" Gustav asked the thought running through every knight.
"Yes, why? Do you believe Lord Ainz to be weaker than Momon?" Hyortr accusedly asked.
"No! No! It's just that...it's not natural that the sovereign of a nation will help another in a crisis by going there himself."
"Then let's make it a precedent now. Lord Ainz isn't the one to let others do the work when he can do it hundreds and thousands of times better. Though we, his servants wished he didn't and let us handle it." Hyortr passionately spoke.
"Uh...yes." The Knights awkwardly agreed as they looked at each other.
"Regardless, the most important thing for Lord Ainz to be going there is a personal vendetta for us." Hyortr revealed.
"What do you mean?"
"Have you heard of the exchange between Orovas and Jaldabaoth that night?" Hyortr asked.
"Yes, I heard they were afraid of getting the attention of some enemy." Gustav replied instinctively but realised something. "Wait, are you saying You were the one that they were wary of?"
"Yes, the Sorcerer Kingdom and the Dark Eclipse Order have been enemies since from the ancient times." Hyortr spoke.
"Long ago, the Sorcerer Kingdom was ruled by a group of forty one very powerful beings. They were called the Forty One Supreme Beings and were led by The Overlord, the Sorcerer King, Ainz Ooal Gown."
"It was a prosperous era of our time, many enemies of ours tried to attack us but were swiftly defeated by us. We, the generals or Guardians were the creation of these Supreme Beings. One of our most formidable and powerful enemy was the Eclipse Order."
"Back in the past, the Order had Seventy-Two Great Demons who commanded over millions of demonic creatures.Orovas and Jaldabaoth were one of them. Throughout the years, our feud killed both sides off one by one untill only two of the original seventy two demons remained and Only Lord Ainz remained from our side."
"Lord Ainz, in a bid to completely destroy the Order once and for all, unleashed a devastating spell that reshaped the entire world, but alas, perhaps the Order had thought of this attacks and put some counter measures. As they are still alive."
"The Sorcerer Kingdom, having exhausted almost all of its resources went into a long deep slumber, having awoken in this era."
Hyortr finished his fabricated narration as he looked at the awed knights.
Soon after some time of digesting the brief history lesson, Neia remembered something.
"Wait, wasn't Honeopenokyo part of the Order?"
"Perhaps she is a new member, I don't know. Maybe she was recruited by them when they woke up first." Hyortr said.
"Thankyou, sir for sharing your experience with us." Gustav spoke as he expressed his admiration for such a great history lesson of the bygone era.
Unbeknownst to them, this story is a fabricated one.
