Naruto widened his eyes, staring at the unfamiliar ceiling above him.
"Naruto, you're sleeping in again! Be careful, or Mama Natsu will come in and scold you," a voice sounded from nearby.
Naruto turned his head and saw a familiar figure hurriedly getting dressed.
He studied the person carefully for a long moment before finally speaking. "...Sasuke?"
"Hm?" The other boy looked at him.
His appearance was slightly different from what Naruto remembered, and more importantly, the usual coldness between his brows was absent.
Even the warmth in his tone made him feel like a stranger.
Naruto was dazed for a moment before suddenly sitting up in bed.
"What time is it?! Are we going to be late for school?!"
Sasuke chuckled at his words. "It's not even your turn to go to school yet. What are you freaking out about?"
With that, he quickly stepped toward the door.
"Don't blame me for not warning you—if you don't get up soon, you'll be in trouble when Mama Natsu comes in."
Left alone in the room, Naruto sat there in a daze, unable to process what was happening.
Who is Mama Natsu…? Where is this place…? And why is Sasuke being so friendly to me…?
Naruto tugged at the corner of his mouth, making sure he wasn't dreaming.
Looking around the lavish bedroom with three beds, Naruto was certain this wasn't his room.
Before he could think further, the door suddenly swung open, and a woman with short brown-green hair walked in.
"Naruto! It's already late, and you're still not up?!"
Her sharp tone made Naruto instinctively shrink his neck, replying in a small voice,
"I was just about to get up…"
Still confused about the situation, Naruto grabbed the clothes beside him and started putting them on.
The fabric felt far more luxurious than anything he was used to—though it also felt a bit small on him.
As he stood up, he was shocked to realize that he seemed… shorter.
The brown-green-haired woman walked up to him and began adjusting his clothes.
"How many times have I told you not to laze around in bed? It's a bad habit."
Naruto stood there awkwardly, watching her fasten his buttons, before cautiously speaking up.
"Mama Natsu…?"
"Hm?"
"…Are you Mama Natsu?"
Natsu looked at him strangely upon hearing his question.
Naruto scratched his head. "Uh… do we know each other?"
"..."
Natsu furrowed her brows slightly, studying the little boy in front of her.
His eyes didn't seem to be lying.
"You don't recognize me?"
Naruto hesitated before slowly nodding. "...I don't remember."
"Do you still remember who you are?"
"Uzumaki Naruto."
—
In the living room.
A large group of people had gathered around Naruto, making him feel somewhat nervous.
The adults he remembered had never looked at him with kindness before.
"Naruto, do you still remember me?" a little girl with white eyes asked.
"I'm your sister, Hinata!"
Ayano, standing beside her, shot Hinata a glare, signaling her not to cause trouble.
Naruto, however, directly called out her name. "Hinata."
Hinata immediately beamed. "Naruto knows me!"
The children clearly didn't grasp the seriousness of the situation—they just thought it was fun.
But Naruto felt that Hinata was acting strange too.
The Hinata in his memories was a quiet, shy girl who blushed at the slightest interaction—it was always such a hassle just to get a word out of her.
Kushina, looking deeply worried, asked Naruto again, "Naruto, do you really not remember me?"
Naruto carefully examined the beautiful red-haired woman in front of him and slowly shook his head.
Ayari pondered for a moment before suggesting, "Let's call Makoto back first."
"I've already sent someone to get him," another person responded.
"How could something like this happen?"
Mikoto pulled Sasuke aside, seriously questioning him about whether anything unusual had happened to Naruto last night.
Sasuke looked completely innocent.
He swore that nothing had happened—Naruto had just seemed reluctant to get up this morning.
In fact, he even suspected that Naruto was just playing a prank, trying to avoid being scolded by Mama Natsu, but now the situation had gotten out of hand.
"Naruto, I'm your mother," Kushina said, tightly gripping his hands.
Naruto hesitated for a moment before weakly responding, "I… don't have parents."
His words only deepened the worry in the eyes of the women around him.
About ten minutes later, Makoto returned.
"What happened?"
Ayari quickly explained the situation to Makoto—Naruto had woken up seemingly half-amnesiac.
He didn't recognize anyone in the family except Sasuke and Hinata and even said strange things, like that he had no parents and was still in school.
Makoto stepped closer to Naruto, while Kushina immediately pointed at him and said, "Naruto, this is your father. Do you remember him?"
Sitting on the sofa, Naruto studied Makoto for a moment before shaking his head again.
Makoto looked at his son, who had suddenly undergone a drastic change in demeanor, feeling deeply puzzled.
After a moment of thought, Makoto asked, "You still remember Sasuke and Hinata, right?"
Naruto nodded.
"What about Neji?"
Naruto shook his head.
Kushina immediately interjected, "Neji is your older brother."
But Naruto firmly responded, "I don't have a brother."
Makoto gestured for Kushina to stay calm and then asked Naruto, "Who else do you remember?"
Naruto replied, "I remember a lot of people."
"For example?"
Without hesitation, Naruto blurted out, "Sakura!"
Everyone except Makoto exchanged confused glances.
This was a completely unfamiliar name—and a girl's name, no less.
As far as they knew, Naruto hadn't interacted with any girls outside the family.
Mikoto whispered to Sasuke, "Who is Sakura?"
Sasuke shook his head in confusion. "I don't know."
Makoto's eyes widened in shock—an absurd idea had already taken shape in his mind.
"You said you're in school. Who is your teacher?"
"Iruka-sensei."
"...And who is the current Hokage?"
"The Third Grandpa... I think his name is Hiruzen or something," Naruto said, scratching his head with a puzzled expression.
"..."
Seeing Makoto stand up, Ayari couldn't help but ask, "Makoto, what's wrong with Naruto?"
Makoto wasn't sure how to explain it.
The idea forming in his mind was too outrageous—had Naruto from another world somehow crossed over into this one?
Was it a temporary crossover, like in some anime filler episodes, or was it permanent?
And if it was permanent, what would happen to his real son? Had his body been taken over?
Makoto reached out and gently grasped Naruto's wrist, channeling his chakra into the boy's body to check for any anomalies.
However, even after half a minute, he found nothing unusual.
After a moment of thought, Makoto lightly waved his hand, and Naruto instantly fell into a deep sleep.
"Don't worry, I'm going to take him for a check-up."
Noticing Kushina's worried expression, he added, "Kushina, come with me."
The two of them took Naruto to the Bio-Science Research Institute, where Kabuto conducted a full-body examination.
No abnormalities were found.
Makoto was utterly baffled.
The person had changed, the soul was different—how could there be no abnormalities?
Kushina, growing impatient, demanded, "What's wrong with Naruto?"
Makoto pondered for a moment before replying, "He's fine… or rather, I can't say he's fine. He has become another person—another Naruto."
"What do you mean?"
"It's hard to explain. You can think of it like this: there are parallel worlds, ones that are almost identical to ours but with slight differences. For example… in that world, I might not exist. The Naruto here now is from that world."
Kushina tried to process what he was saying.
Looking at Naruto lying on the examination table, she suddenly asked, "But he's still Naruto, right?"
"…Yes."
Kushina's gaze met Makoto's, her eyes flickering with emotion. "Then he's still our child, isn't he?"
"…Yeah."
Makoto brought Naruto back home and said to him, "Naruto, I am your father."
Naruto simply blinked at him.
Makoto then pulled Kushina closer and said, "This is your mother—your biological mother."
He proceeded to introduce everyone in the household, explaining that Sasuke was his brother and Hinata was his sister.
Naruto was utterly confused, feeling that everyone around him was acting strangely.
Finally, he fixed his gaze on Kushina, hesitating for a moment before asking, "Are you… really my mom?"
Kushina nodded firmly, her expression nearly breaking as she reached out and pulled him into her embrace.
"Yes, I am your mom. I always have been, and I always will be."
Naruto quietly felt the warmth of this embrace—something he had never experienced before.
Deep inside, something stirred within him.
Was this a dream…?
Even if it was, it didn't matter.
"M-Mom…"
For now, Makoto had no real solution.
When it came to "soul transmigration," he was completely in the dark.
He himself had transmigrated once before and had always thought of it as either a coincidence or some higher-level joke.
The only thing he could do now was let Naruto stay by his side and observe him over time.
In the Bedroom
Sasuke sat on the bed, lightly swinging his legs, his eyes fixed on Naruto, who was lying on the opposite bed.
Hinata, too, sat backward on a chair, staring at Naruto.
Under their intense gaze, Naruto felt incredibly uncomfortable.
"Are you sure we don't have school to go to?" he asked.
"Are you really not faking it?" Sasuke countered.
"Faking what?"
"Faking memory loss."
"I didn't lose my memory."
"Then why do you say you don't know anyone?"
"Because I really don't."
Sasuke pouted. "You don't even recognize Neji?"
"Nope."
"What about Itachi, Toneri, or Jugo?"
"No idea."
Frustrated, Sasuke finally asked, "Then who do you remember?"
Naruto thought for a moment and then said seriously, "Iruka-sensei, Sakura, Choji, Shikamaru, Kiba… oh, and Ino."
After saying that, he felt like he had forgotten someone important, but he just couldn't remember who.
Sasuke and Hinata exchanged bewildered looks.
They didn't recognize a single name Naruto had mentioned.
Hinata whispered, "Did Naruto hit his head in his sleep or something?"
Naruto instantly got mad. "I'm not stupid! You guys are the ones acting weird!"
"How are we weird?"
"Sasuke, you… you're supposed to be arrogant, always looking down on others just because you get good grades."
Sasuke was completely baffled by this.
"And Hinata, you're even weirder than Sasuke! You never talk much, and you're always blushing."
Hinata frowned. "That sounds even weirder to me."
"It's not weird at all!" Naruto insisted.
He felt like Sasuke and Hinata were just messing with him.
"I'm going to find Sakura! She'll definitely be normal!" Naruto declared, standing up with determination.
Sakura…?
"Let's go," Hinata immediately said.
"The moms probably won't let us run off," Sasuke pointed out.
Hinata's eyes darted around as she quickly came up with a plan. "Naruto, you just have to tell them that seeing this Sakura person might help you regain your memory."
And just like that, thanks to Hinata's plan, the three kids managed to sneak out of the house.
Unbeknownst to them, Kushina, unable to let go of her worries, was secretly tailing them from a distance.
But as soon as Naruto stepped out of the house, he was dumbfounded.
"Why is my house this big?!"
Hinata giggled. "When we first moved in, I used to get lost all the time too."
Once they left the palace, everything on the streets felt unfamiliar to Naruto.
The Hokage Rock was gone, replaced by a strange towering structure, and in the distance, there was an enormous giant—what even was that?
But at least he remembered where Sakura's house was.
That much was still clear in his mind.
When they arrived at Sakura's doorstep, Naruto hesitated.
This was his first time visiting her house.
He had imagined it countless times, but he had never actually gone through with it before.
Hinata, however, had no such reservations and knocked on the door right away.
A blonde woman in a white qipao opened the door and, seeing the adorable Hinata, curiously asked, "Hello, did you knock? Who are you looking for?"
"Is Sakura here?"
"Oh, so you're Sakura's friends! Come in, come in." Haruno Megumi beamed warmly.
Inside the Haruno Residence.
Sakura stared at the three unfamiliar kids in front of her, completely baffled.
Her mother had told her that some friends had come over to play, so she thought it was Ino.
But these three… who were they?
"Sakura," Naruto called out eagerly, looking at her with anticipation.
"You… who are you?"
"I'm Naruto!" Naruto panicked and quickly exclaimed.
"Naruto…? I don't think we know each other."
"…Then what about this guy? Sasuke, do you remember him?" Naruto pointed to Sasuke beside him.
Sakura glanced at Sasuke, and suddenly, her face turned slightly red.
This boy was really handsome… His name was Sasuke, right?
In the end, the three children left Sakura's house.
"Was that Sakura the one you knew?" Hinata asked.
"…." Naruto just hung his head in silence.
Seeing him so down, Sasuke and Hinata exchanged glances behind him.
Hinata whispered, "I think Naruto has a crush on that girl."
Sasuke whispered back, "Her forehead is kinda wide."
But Naruto, walking ahead, suddenly said, "I can hear you, you know."
Sasuke sighed. "Alright, alright, don't be upset. I'll treat you to a drink."
The three of them headed to a popular drink shop.
As they entered the new district, Naruto couldn't help but feel overwhelmed.
Everything around him—what was all this…?
"You guys… what are you doing here?"
There weren't many people in line today.
Just as Sasuke was about to step forward to buy drinks, he noticed Neji and his group were also there.
"The three Highnesses are here as well. Daigo, go buy drinks for them," Kensuke, always quick to read the situation, instructed.
Sasuke, however, pulled Neji aside and spoke to him in a low voice.
After hearing what Sasuke had to say, Neji looked utterly shocked.
"Even Father has no solution?" he asked.
"Dad said, for now, he doesn't."
Meanwhile, Naruto looked at the drink being handed to him.
The boy in glasses, who was only slightly thinner than Choji, was looking at him with a flattering smile.
"Your Highness Naruto, this is for you."
Naruto took the drink.
Seeing Hinata already sipping hers, he followed suit, inserting the straw and taking a deep sip.
"Mm—!"
The delicious taste made his eyes light up instantly, and he started drinking rapidly, quickly finishing the entire cup.
Hinata chuckled. "Were you that thirsty?"
Naruto pointed at the drink cup in excitement. "This is so good!"
Hinata: "..."
Why did he look like a total country bumpkin?
And in front of others, too—how embarrassing…
Seeing this, Kensuke immediately said, "Daigo, get another one for His Highness Naruto."
Naruto's face lit up with excitement. "Really? Can I have another one? I don't have any money on me right now."
Kensuke waved his hand grandly, feigning displeasure. "Your Highness Naruto, that's far too formal. How could I ever let you pay when you're with me? Besides, all of Konoha technically belongs to your family."
Naruto didn't quite understand the second half of his sentence—all he knew was that he could have another one of these amazing drinks.
Soon, another cup was placed in front of him.
At this moment, Neji and Sasuke finished their conversation.
Neji said, "You guys shouldn't wander around outside. Just go home."
"We were just about to head back anyway."
Naruto happily sipped his drink as Sasuke and Hinata led him away.
Kensuke waved from behind, calling out, "Your Highness Naruto, if you ever want to come here again, just look for me anytime!"
Great! Now he had successfully built a connection with Neji's younger brother!
He was feeling quite pleased with himself.
On the way back, Naruto quickly finished his second drink and casually tossed the empty bottle onto the ground.
Sasuke and Hinata both paused for a moment, surprised.
Hinata immediately raised her foot and gave him a light kick.
"If the moms see that, you'll get punished for littering," she warned.
Sasuke bent down, picked up the bottle, and tossed it into a nearby trash can.
Realizing his mistake, Naruto awkwardly scratched his head.
He remembered that Iruka-sensei had also taught him in school not to litter.
"You really are different from before," Hinata remarked.
She had also finished her drink, sucked at the straw a few more times until it made a slurping sound, then casually threw her empty bottle into the trash can.
"…You're not possessed by a ghost, are you?"
Naruto ignored her last comment and instead focused his gaze on the drink in Sasuke's hand, which was still mostly untouched.
As he stared, he couldn't help but swallow his saliva.
Sasuke noticed and smirked. "What?"
Naruto just grinned sheepishly. "Hehe."
"Here, take it."
Sasuke generously handed the drink over without hesitation.
Naruto chuckled, rubbed his hands together excitedly, and then carefully took it as if it were a precious treasure.
"Is that stuff really that good?" Hinata asked, puzzled.
She had thought it tasted pretty average.
Sasuke added, "Naruto, aren't you going to say thank you?"
Naruto, who had been walking ahead with his head down, sipping the drink, suddenly froze.
He turned to look at Sasuke's bright, sunny smile—then, unexpectedly, his face turned a little red.
"Th…thank you."
