Aurora James - POV
As we left the meeting place, a palpable shift coursed through me. Stepping back into the forest, I felt something different within myself. I had been too caught up in the excitement of our discovery to notice it before, but now it felt like something had snapped into place.
I glanced at Adam, confusion knitting my brow. "Our mind links are restored again," I said, the realization dawning on me.
"Wait! We can't use our mind link when we're down there?" I asked, my heart racing as we began our walk back to the pack house.
"Unfortunately, no. I sensed a spell surrounding the place. I felt the shift the moment I stepped inside," he explained, his voice low and serious. The walk back to the pack house was eerily quiet, with neither of us breaking the silence. Adam seemed lost in thought, his expression contemplative.
