I turn the girl and study her closely.
'It is truly Aerene!'
After some seconds, my wounds are completely healed. I pick her up, placing her on my shoulder.
"I still remember the way to Daniel's hospital!" I mumble to myself and begin running straight to his hospital.
After some minutes, I arrive and run straight to his office, barging in and scaring almost to death.
"Please, Daniel! I need your help!" I say in a pleading tone, gasping for breath.
He sighs and stands up. "Let's get going then." He walks out of his office, me following him behind. We finally reach a door which he opens and enters the room. I follow him, entering the room too. I quickly rush to the bed in the room and drop Aerene on top of it.
His eyes change instantly and he walks to her, studying her very well. After some minutes, he sighs and looks at me.
"You had a tough fight tonight, yes?" He asks in a concerned tone.
"YES! THE DAMNED DOMINANT LIGHT! I wouldn't call it a fight! It was more of them almost turning me into a pile of human strip! They left her behind, thankfully!" I say angrily.
He sighs. "I see. Looks like we're late then." He sighs again.
"We might be late, but that does not mean we can't stop them." I say and he laughs shortly.
"I love your spirit boy, but you don't know what we're up against. Your friend here is surprisingly, fine. But who knows what they've already done and what they're doing right now." He says worriedly.
"YEAH! Something strange happened!" I exclaim.
The look of worry on his face intensifies. "What is it?" He asks, almost quietly.
I begin narrating all that happened to him.
"... So, that's why we're here tonight." I finally conclude.
"Wow!" He says in a surprised tone and blinks. "You went through that on your first encounter! That must have been very tough! You sure are lucky to survive!" He looks up as if reasoning something and then, looks back at me. "You said they left, because they felt something in you, right?" I nod. "They also said you'll help them achieve their plans and you should watch your back?!" I nod again. "This is very serious! Very very serious! I need to contact Ben and let him know!" He says in a panicking tone.
"That will be nice! We need to defeat them!" I shout.
He sighs tiredly. "The citizens might not believe us."
"Why?! They will! I know they will! We just have to tell Ben first!"
"Thank goodness, you went for a walk. If not..." He pauses. "They would still be doing their dirty deeds, without people knowing. And your friend here, would have been dead."
"Yeah. So, what are we going to do now?! If we don't start now, they'll go further!"
"You're right!" He sighs. "You said in the three, one is a summon magic, another is a web magic and the last; a necromancy magic!"
I nod. "Yes! And by the look of them, they're powerful!" I frown. "The necromancy magic is killing people and making an army of them! That's what I think! And we can't take that lightly!" I say angrily, almost shouting.
"You're right! I'll call Ben now!" He says and brings out a phone. He taps on the screen a few times and places it to his ear as it starts ringing.
"Hello? What?" Ben asks sleepily.
"Ben, please come! There is a serious emergency!"
"Can't we just leave it for tomorrow?"
"No! Jack just found three Dominant Light members in the town, now!"
"WHAT?!" Ben shouts. "I'm on my way!" He cuts the call.
"We need to be very careful! With a necromancy magic, anyone is his spy!" He groans in frustration. "We will have to be very very careful and secretive!"
"Ok! But..." I pause.
"Yeah? But what?"
"We need to recruit an important member of our team!" I say quickly.
"Who?"
"Aqua." I mumble.
"Oh... I see. Well, I'll help then."
I give him a confused look. "How?"
He grins. "My eyes of course. I can see through anything and also see long distances. With me and you, we will definitely cover more grounds. Trust me, we'll find her."
I rush forward and hug him tightly. Tears begins running down my face. "Thanks, sir! Thanks a lot!"
He hugs me back, tapping my back. "You're welcome, boy. It's nothing." He says calmly.
I free him. "No...! It is a lot! How will I ever pay you?!"
"Canceling your vengeance."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"You were planning to have revenge. So..."
"Ok. That's fair." I say with a wide grin. Though it hurts.
"Phew." He chuckles. "That's great."
"Yeah." I mumble.
The door swings open, startling I and Daniel.
Ben rushes in. "What happened?!" He asks in a worried tone.
Daniel begins explaining all I told him to Ben. "... And we have to be extra careful with people we socialise with."
"This is very serious! More serious than we thought!" He groans in frustration and irritation. "Tomorrow, you'll help Jack look for Aqua, while I and Lila will inspect the town well!" He says, his tone somehow harsh. "We need all the help we can get!"
"That will be very good!" Daniel says and sighs.
"I have to go now! I need to see what I and Lila can do!"
"Ok!" I and Daniel say together and he rushes out of the room.
"Looks like tomorrow is gonna be one hell of a day." I mumble.
Daniel sighs. "Yup."
It's morning! And I'm very tired! I didn't sleep at all. I and Daniel decided to start our searching... And.... *Sigh* I regretted it a lot. It didn't go and end well. *Sigh*
"Aerene, are you okay?!" I ask Aerene who is now wide awake, sleepily.
She nods. "Yes. Yes I am."
"That's nice." I yawn, causing her face to change into one of worry.
"Are you okay?!" She asks in a calm and gentle, but sweet tone.
"Yes... Yes I am!" I grin.
She smiles. "That's very nice."
"Thanks." My expression changes into one of worry. "What are you doing here? What are you doing with those people? Or what were they doing to you?" I ask quickly.
She stares blankly at me. "Is that all you can ask?!" She frowns. "No: Have the curse been lifted?! Why didn't you come back?! How are you doing?!"
"Uhhh... Those too?" I give her an awkward smile, causing her to glare at me.
"Never mind." She says calmly.
"Come on. Just..."
"Never mind!" She snaps, cutting my statement short.
I sigh tiredly. "Ok." I get up from the bed and walk to the room's door. "I'll be back. Let me get you something to eat." I say calmly and leave the room.
After some minutes of walking around, I come back with some food and drinks. I walk into the hospital, then into Aerene's room.
"Here, have this." I say, handing the bag to her.
"Thanks." She mumbles.
"Sure." I smile. "I'll be back."
"Ok."
I quickly walk out of her room and the hospital.
"Now..." I sigh. "Time to look for Aqua!"
I sigh and begin my journey to the forest. Reaching the town's gate, I pause and exhale.
"This will be tiring."
I exit the town and enter the forest, not wanting to stop.
After some minutes or hours of walking, I stop.
"DAMN IT! This is stupid!" I shout in frustration.
"Watch out!" A familiar voice shouts.
Before I can move, I find myself on the ground.
"What the...!" I pause the moment my eyes lands on a serious injured Aqua.
She coughs out some blood as she lands a strong shocking punch on a man, sending him flying. She turns to look at me, gasping for air and furious.
"What are you doing here?!" She snaps.
"I should be asking you!" I snap back, getting up.
"Wow! Guess I'm lucky after all." A man shouts, clapping and walking forward.
My eyes widens in horror. "It's you!" I shout.
The man laughs aloud. "So, you recognise me!" He shouts, laughing more.
"What did you do to those men?!" I shout in anger.
"It doesn't matter!" He shouts, excitement in his tone. "You will join them anyway." He laughs aloud. "There's nothing sweeter than adding more useful tools to my arsenal." He exhales. "Necromancy magic: Come forth!" He says.
A sudden crushing aura or maybe force... I don't know... Covers the environment.
'HE'S STRONG!'
"You are feeling it too?" Aqua asks with a shaking voice.
"Yes." I say, my voice shaking, too.
Nick, Mike and Sai appear, hundreds of men appearing behind them.
"How?! They all died!" I mumble in horror. "WHO ARE YOU?!" I shout.
The man laughs aloud. "Well, I thank you for that!" He shouts and laughs. "I thank you for helping me with these unique threes!"
'He has killed so much men!'
I stare at all the dead men he summoned. They are looking stronger than normal men.
"Why?! Why did you kill so many?!" I shout and the man laughs.
"I didn't kill most of them!" He shouts, his expression turning into a dark grin. He licks his lips. "Now... Let's get to work, shall we?!"
