Ten days later....
"Qingshan, the atmosphere in Red Willow seems a bit gloomy or is it just me," said Lin Ziao, walking closer to Qingshan.
"It's nothing serious, just some of us who are afraid of the people coming to our village today," said Qingshan with a pause before he continued.
"It is The Peng Dynasty Warriors, they are really strong– I mean the main force are the ones that are really strong, they are feared due to the level of brutality they use in carrying out their activities," Qingshan explained further.
"I don't really know much about them but I know that they are responsible for defending the continent from attacks but the ones coming to Red Willow are just some segments of the auxiliary force in the Peng Dynasty's army ," Said Qingshan.
"If they are that powerful, then what are they coming to this little Red Willow to do?" asked Ziao wanting to know more.
"I can't really answer that question, I am just as ignorant as you currently," said Qingshan before adding
"The ground is slightly trembling, seems like they are close by," said Qingshan as he walked out of the house, anticipating the visitors.
About 20 miles away...
"Sir, the village is in sight, currently left of our present direction," said a dark and fairly handsome youth to their commander, Peng Cheng.
Their commander was the third descendant of the Peng Dynasty. He was tall, had dark flowing hair and a sharp jaw. His gaze were as sharp as swords and he emitted a chilling presence.
"You heard him, everyone turn left," ordered Peng Cheng as he turned his horse left.
Neeeeigh!!
Neeeeigh!!
Neeeeigh!!
Neeeeigh!!
Neeeeigh!
"Commander,we don't still know why we are coming to this lowly town," said a well-built man, pausing before continuing.
"For how long are you going to keep us in the dark?" he continued as he galloped on his horse.
"Do you really want to know? Press me on this matter one more time and you will lose your life," replied Peng Cheng with a chilling smirk on his face.
Shivering in fear, the frightened solider replied, stammering," I cert-ainly don't wa-nt to know anymore."
Peng Cheng snorted before he said "Good."
Everyone rode forward in chilling silence only interrupted periodically by the galloping and snorting of the horses.
"Commander, we have almost arrived," said the dark and fairly handsome youth as he packed his binoculars into his bag.
"They are here, everyone come out," shouted a young man appointed to watch the road from where the Peng warriors would arrive from.
"They are here, let's go to welcome them."
"May their coming to this town be for good."
Prayers and whispers were here as the gathered crowd watched the warriors draw nearer. The ground rumbled noticeably as the horses and their riders drew closer to Red Willow.
Coming to a stop, the Peng warriors came down from their horses with practiced fineness.
Their armour was decorated with the symbol of the Peng soaring in the sky and their coordination was top notch.
"We would like to see the elders in the village along with those who have ventured into the forest between today and thirty days ago," said the commander, Peng Cheng as his eyes scanned the shivering crowd of people who had gathered to welcome them.
"Those two aren't shivering, let's hope they are special," thought Peng Cheng as he looked at Lin Ziao and Li Qingshan.
After waiting for some time.......
"Warriors, this way please," said a young woman with striking brown eyes to direct the warriors.
"She looks pretty strong, maybe at the Meridian Opening Realm," a dark warrior said.
"Who cares, she looks beaut–" a warrior said but was abruptly interrupted by a cold stare from Peng Cheng. The warrior struggled to swallow saliva as he kept his mouth shut.
"We have arrived at the abode of the elders," said the young woman as she stared at a cave that looked like it was about to collapse anytime soon.
"Let move in, soliders," said the commander Peng Cheng as he led the way, following the young and pretty woman. Soon they entered the abode of the elders. Its interior design made it seem like they never entered a cave.
It was guarded with low-level defensive formations and the floor was covered with beautiful carpets. They were some men, maybe around sixty years of age and they were sitted on exquisitely crafted chairs. They were the elders of Red Willow village.
