Before she could speak, the elevator stopped, and the double doors opened to reveal an exquisite sight. An awkward silence hung between the two for a second before Wren stepped out, followed by Hazel.
As they stood at the entrance, they saw a pair holding hands. One was petite and pretty, while the other was tall and commanding. Wren's eyes met the woman at the center of attention, and she smiled.
She walked closer and hugged her. "Long time no see, Miss Cameron," Wren said, her voice filled with excitement. Among the few people Wren genuinely got along with, Miss Cameron was one of them.
Hailing from the wealthiest and arguably most developed city on the mainland, Miss Cameron frowned at Wren's words and patted her shoulder.
"Oh, come on! Since when did we start being so formal? Wren, you've changed since our last meeting in Paris," she replied playfully, her eyes then scanning the figure hiding behind Wren.
