A terrifying Ninjutsu attack landed, almost instantly, it reduced the surrounding buildings to rubble. The courtyard ground cracked apart, splitting and collapsing in pieces. Even the torrential downpour couldn't stop the dust from billowing into the air.
Within a 200-meter radius, devastation reigned.
Six figures stood at the perimeter, eyes fixed on the center.
As the dust settled, their pupils suddenly contracted.
They had unleashed their full power, an all-out Ninjutsu assault. Its destructive force was formidable. Most members of Baroque Works had already been rendered unconscious or severely wounded by the blast.
Yet at the center, a wall formed entirely of sand stood tall, having blocked all the attacks.
Shhhk Shhhk Shhhk!
The sand was scattered. Amid the swirling smoke and dust, a figure slowly emerged before the six.
"Crocodile!"
The six of them narrowed their eyes, expressions grim.
They didn't know much about this world's Logia Ability Users. But based on what Qin Yi had told them, these people could transform into elements, rendering them immune to all physical attacks. Against ordinary opponents, they were practically invincible,
Unless you discovered their weakness.
And Crocodile's weakness… was water!
At that moment, rain was pouring from the sky, and the buildings that could've provided shelter from it had already collapsed. Which meant he couldn't use his elemental form!
"This rain… It's His Majesty's technique," said Olaiye gravely.
The other five exchanged glances and nodded.
They understood what Olaiye meant. In this situation, capturing Crocodile would be easier than ever. If they still couldn't manage it, then they hardly deserved the titles of Parliamentary Officer or Rear Admiral.
"He's just a mere Shichibukai. If even we can't take him down, It'd be an utter disgrace!" Wang Ye's aged voice rang out, cold and biting.
"Hehehehe… You're really underestimating me."
Crocodile had clearly heard every word they'd said. His expression was dark and cold.
The rain from above indeed put him at a disadvantage, but that didn't mean he, Crocodile, was just some helpless prey!
"Since you think you're capable, why don't you come try me?!"
Spitting out the words coldly, Crocodile suddenly bent down and slammed his right hand onto the ground.
"Dehydrate!"
In an instant, the rain-soaked ground began to dry up and crack, the moisture pulled out with terrifying speed. The effect spread so fast that it reached the feet of the six in the blink of an eye, causing their expressions to change drastically.
"Move, now!" Wang Ye shouted.
Crocodile's expression had twisted into something feral as he roared:
"Erosion Cycle!!"
From where he stood, massive vortices began to swirl outward in all directions. The ground collapsed, sand lifted into the air, dust surged, and everything was thrown high into the sky.
The six of them dashed away, narrowly escaping the range of the attack.
By the time they were clear, they were five to six hundred meters away. The once-large patch of land behind them was now a cracked, dry wasteland, completely dead.
This stunning sight made their pupils contract, shock seizing their hearts.
For a Ninjutsu technique to produce this kind of devastation, it would normally take an enormous amount of chakra and complex hand seals. But Crocodile had accomplished it… in just a few breaths.
"Sandstorm."
Crocodile slowly stood tall, his icy gaze locked on the six.
Around him, swirling sand began to spin. The dried-up ground rapidly turned into loose sand, rising into the air and forming a violent sandstorm.
"Yes, the rain affects me… but unfortunately, Not as much as you think! I don't know how you found out about my weakness, but, sorry to disappoint you!"
The sandstorm above grew larger and larger, soon it covered a radius of nearly a kilometer. The sheer scale of it left Wang Ye and the others wide-eyed in disbelief.
They had only mastered the basics of Ninjutsu, and even their widest-range attacks barely reached a hundred meters.
But at this moment, Crocodile, despite the torrential rain pouring down on him, was unleashing a technique that spanned a full kilometer, How terrifying was that?!
"You've barely scratched the surface of power, and yet you dare flaunt yourselves in front of me? You're asking for death!"
Crocodile's voice was cold as ice. Over his head, the sandstorm swirled and condensed, rising with a roar into a massive sand tornado.
"Run!!" Li Qingya shouted.
Faced with such overwhelming, natural force, none of them, who had only just begun cultivating their powers, could hope to resist it.
But the enormous sandstorm was too fast. In the blink of an eye, it had reached directly above them, roaring as it prepared to swallow them whole.
Boom, rumble, crack!!
Thunder exploded in the sky. The rain pounded down even harder now, but it could only disrupt part of the sandstorm, it couldn't destroy it all.
Just as the massive sand tornado was about to engulf all six of them,
A figure suddenly appeared before them, standing in the path of the sandstorm, blocking it with a calm gaze.
Then, rapid hand seals.
"Water Release: Super Great Waterfall Technique!!"
Whoooshhhh!!!
The sound of surging water roared like an army of thousands charging through the battlefield. Behind the figure, a towering hundred-meter-high waterfall split the sky,
Torrents of water rushed forward in a mighty flood, colliding head-on with the sandstorm.
Water vs. Sand.
The two forces clashed violently. With a screeching hiss of energy tearing through the air, it lasted just four or five breaths, then everything fell silent.
Crocodile's pupils contracted. His gaze turned serious.
"Your Majesty!"
The six finally snapped out of their shock. Whirling around, they cried out in astonishment when they saw who had arrived.
"You've already handled most of the work. From here on, leave the rest to me."
Qin Yi's eyes were as sharp as blades as he looked toward Crocodile.
Sand Crocodile, the first boss beaten by the protagonist in the original story, carrying the full brunt of the plot armor, yet now, he was showing just how powerful he truly was.
If it had been anyone else, he wouldn't have been defeated so easily. And the fact that he could still fight like this, in a heavy downpour, proved that he wasn't as weak as the original story made him seem.
"Sand Crocodile, you have two choices."
His voice was chilling. A king's presence swept through the battlefield. For a moment, even the rain seemed to pause, the heavens falling into silence over this area.
This strange phenomenon shocked Crocodile's heart and made him even more wary.
"Submit... or die!"
Crocodile's pupils narrowed as he stared at Qin Yi. After a moment of silence, he burst into laughter.
"Hahahahaha!! So I've been underestimated after all!"
He looked up, sensing how the heavy rain had stopped. A cold smile spread once more across his lips.
"One after another... You really don't know who I am, do you?! I am, Sand Crocodile!!"
Suddenly, his face twisted, and he let out a fierce roar. His body exploded into a swirl of sand, forming a massive storm of dust and grit, and then he charged forward, like a living sandstorm gone mad.
