EMMA
"Throw her in the dungeon!"I heard his voice crash against the walls, hard and held that triumphant sound.
I heard the sound of footsteps and then I was pulled roughly making Tauren's body slip from my grasp and hit the floor with a soft, sickening thud. His skin is cold and pale, once again I lost someone so close to me.
My fingers trembled where they hovered over his cheek. I didn't care about the blood on my palms anymore. His name stayed caught in my throat, a scream I couldn't release.
Everything stopped, the sound was becoming so low in my ears. The murmuring guards, and the scent of iron, and smoke, clung to my skin like a second soul.
Then I lost it, as a wild snarl ripped from my chest as I turned to face the monster still standing upright, blood on his lips, arrogance in his eyes. Xander. He wanted me to break. He wanted me on my knees.
But he was about to regret that wish, everything happened in a minute.
