{Three Months Later...}
Lucian's arms slide around me, his hands cradling my belly.
"You know, I think the baby is even bigger than before."
I turn to him with a grin. "Lucian, it's been ten minutes since the last time you had your hands on my belly."
He grins back. "Has it?"
Shaking my head in bemusement, I turn to take in our packmates standing around the clearing near our house, chatting with each other, sipping glasses of champagne.
With the nursery finally finished, Lucian thought it called for a celebration. He told me it would be a casual thing, just us hanging out together before we went for a run. Maybe my last before the baby is born.
But instead, he walked me out to the same clearing where we had our mating ceremony, and I discovered everyone dressed in their best clothes, Blackwood serving glasses of champagne. It was the opposite of casual.
There was even a table with presents.
