"I'll return to the military base first and help them find a safe route to this location," the abbot explained.
"Once the path is secure, we'll come back and collect everything."
He was certain that once the military learned about this promising supply source, they'd definitely move quickly to establish a connection.
But first, they had to ensure the route was safe.
