Lucas didn't answer me, only smiled brightly.
"Oh, speaking of which, how did you manage to convince my parents that I would be apprenticing under L.L. Lewis? Don't tell me you actually know him?" I asked, with a sudden understanding.
Lucas let out a soft chuckle. He casually leaned against the doorway and looked at me with an amused yet gentle gaze. "You could say that."
I felt the rush of excitement as I looked back at him, "Really? You actually know THE L.L. Lewis?!" I took a step forward, looking at Lucas with sparkling eyes. "No one's seen his face before. He always works through a middleman. Could you tell me something about him? Anything! I've been a fan ever since I was introduced to his works, it's just that he's so mysterious...."
