Nina was annoyed. No, that is not right. She was royally pissed. All they had done after fighting that giant snake was walk after Jace's plan went into effect. They did not fight hordes of enemies and more strange creatures like she was hoping to do on this mission.
Instead Jace's plan called for her and her team to go to the central power source and disable the self-destruct feature. Then they came here to this door, ready to do the next part of their plan. To capture this annoying Daedalus.
She walked into the room just in time to hear Jace's words through a speaker system in the room. "-door in just a moment." The room was a giant library with stacks leading up to the roof. There were only a few lights hanging from the ceiling. Across the room from them as they entered was a figure standing in front of a wall of monitors and computers which were providing the most light into the room.
