Rei used a wind bomb at his feet again, leaping into the air. He continued to jump from one point to another using the same technique. "Tenko," he called out, "where can we get ores?" Tenko pointed in another direction, and Rei used his wind bomb to propel himself towards it. Finally, he reached the area Tenko had indicated. He took out a shovel from his bag and began digging. Soon, he uncovered some ores. Rei started carefully gathering them, placing them into bags, making sure not to damage the precious Emberasia he had recently secured. After collecting all the ores, Rei used his wind bomb to jump into the air and then again to another spot Tenko suggested. Once Rei had gathered enough ores, he decided it was time to head back. He used a final wind bomb to propel himself high into the air and returned to Bart and Eugene, who had finished gathering their own important monster parts.
As Rei landed, Bart exclaimed, "Rei, you can fly!"
"No, I can't fly," Rei corrected him. "I can jump in mid-air. There's a huge difference."
"Can you then teach us how to do that too?" Eugene asked eagerly.
"Yeah, I too want to learn how to jump like that!" Bart chimed in.
"I don't know about you, Eugene," Rei said, "but I can teach Bart how to jump like that." Bart's face lit up with excitement, while Eugene looked a little disappointed. "Don't worry, Eugene," Rei quickly added, "you too can take to the sky!"
"Really? How?" Eugene asked, his disappointment turning to hopeful curiosity.
"Use the holy barrier on your feet to stand on it," Rei explained. "Then, make another barrier in front of it, just a little up, and go there. Then, like that, using the barriers as stairs, you go up, and you just need to walk now by using the barriers."
"And how can I fly?" Bart asked.
"Just create earth like this," Rei said, demonstrating. He created a long, curved pillar of earth beneath his feet to propel himself upwards. Then, while still in mid-air, he created another curved earth structure and used it again for jumping higher. After showing them, Rei created a regular earth pillar and landed on it. Then, like an elevator going down, he made the earth descend into the ground, taking him with it, and he landed safely on the surface.
"Wow, I will try to do it sometime!" Bart said, clearly impressed.
"Sure," Rei replied. "Well, we've wasted enough time. Let's go and check out the other monsters, okay?"
"Sure!" Bart and Eugene said in unison.
As they ventured further into the dungeon, they encountered a large, fire-throwing salamander standing on two feet. "It's a magic beast called the Red Fire Salamander," Bart identified. "Eugene, will you help me defeat him?"
"Sure, Bart!" Eugene readily agreed.
Bart immediately used his sorcery. "Stone Cannon!" Pointy stones shot from the earth, piercing the salamander's flesh. The beast shrieked in pain and retaliated by unleashing a torrent of fire. Eugene's palm lit up as he used his magic. "Holy Magic: Holy Barrier!" A golden barrier formed around them, effectively stopping the salamander's fiery assault. Bart continued his relentless barrage of Stone Cannons at the Red Fire Salamander. Soon, the salamander's body was covered in blood, and its fire attacks weakened as it grew weaker. Bart then used his sorcery again. "Big Stone Cannon!" A massive, pointy stone erupted from the ground and pierced the salamander's head, killing it instantly.
Both Bart and Eugene smiled, then burst into laughter as they watched the salamander's lifeless body fall. They jumped in excitement, overjoyed that they had so easily defeated a magic beast.
"What did you expect?" Rei said, a slight smile on his face. "You trained against a beast that was outside your capabilities and increased your strength so much that you were easily able to defeat a magic beast."
"But it still feels so good!" Bart said, jumping with joy. "We have earned it!"
Eugene, equally elated, chimed in, "Yeah! It's our win! Just ours, ours!!"
After Bart and Eugene finished celebrating, Rei said, "Well, let's go."
"Hell yeah! I am ready to defeat more magic beasts!" Bart exclaimed, pumped.
"Yes! I too will show that I am strong!" Eugene added, his shyness temporarily forgotten.
As they walked, Rei asked Eugene, "Why don't you use your wand anymore?"
"I don't know," Eugene replied thoughtfully. "It just feels like it's not meant for me. I mean, it's not like it's hindering me; it just feels like I'm not meant for it."
"Yeah, I know how it feels," Rei agreed, looking at his own Chaos Scepter. "Sometimes I too think like this about my scepter." Tenko barked once and nodded in agreement, as he too had his Nyx Scepter, which had recently been threatening to consume him.
"What about joining the Revolutionaries now?" Rei asked, changing the subject.
"Sure, I would join Revolutionaries," Eugene said without hesitation.
"Can I join Revolutionaries too?" Bart asked eagerly.
"Sure, you can join Revolutionaries too," Rei confirmed.
"Yes!" Bart cheered.
"So, was your purpose in coming into the dungeon just to train us?" Eugene inquired, a curious look on his face.
"Well, no," Rei admitted. "Even if you two wouldn't have come to the dungeon, I still would have needed to come to the dungeon to take some resources for my needs. Oh, from resources, I suddenly remember something." Rei took out the carefully preserved Emberasia plant. "Can you tell me what magic circle and how much magica should I use to keep this Emberasia alive?"
Bart remained quiet, having no idea what Emberasia was. Eugene, however, was visibly surprised. "Where did you get this Emberasia?" he asked, his voice filled with awe. "It is so rare!"
"Just somewhere nearby," Rei said vaguely. "Now, can you tell me if you know the magic circle and magica requirement to maintain Emberasia's environment?"
"No," Eugene admitted, "but I might know someone who might know about it. I will take you to her after this."
"Sure," Rei agreed.
Suddenly, the ground began to shake violently. A massive rhino, larger than any monster they had encountered, burst forth. "This is a Terra Rhino!" Rei exclaimed, his eyes widening slightly. "They are not supposed to be here!" The Terra Rhino, which dwarfed even Rei, whose height was only about one-fourth of its leg, spotted Bart, Eugene, and Rei and let out a guttural growl.
"Get ready, everyone," Rei said, his voice firm and unwavering. "We are going to kill it!"
