Squawk, squawk...
Hands on the railing of the boat, Duncan stared off into the distance, his eyes on the wide ocean before him, but thoughts beyond it. Haah...what an 'adventure' that was...
Oh who am I kidding – that was a clusterfuck and a half! Nearly a quarter of the city's total population are dead, more than two-thirds of the buildings are broken beyond belief, and don't forget the pollution that came from the remaining bodies of those bio-mechanized horses!
And all I wanted was to revise the Union Treaty, and perhaps get a few samples of Kako trees...
He turned his head back to the boat, where a group of Brownies, Fairies, and Leves lay huddled, their gazes still at the retreating mountains of Traümaed. Sighing once more, he turned around, intending to ask the captain how many more days we're left before they reached back to Grandem.
Just as he was about to, a large wall blocked his path.
Confused at the sudden appearance of the wall, Duncan groped around, trying to find out what the wall was. "Look, I know I'm handsome, but please, I don't swing that way..."
Blushing brighter than a tomato, he quickly backpedalled. Standing in front of him was Titus, now without his cloak. The people in board already knew that was an Orc (thanks to a certain silver haired Elf who insists she's eternally 300), but were sworn into secrecy to prevent certain...'people'... from finding out he still lived.
"Hah! I'm just pulling your leg, seeing you all moody and shit. I can guess what you're thinking of, and I've gotta to say, as someone who's been through the same shit as you did, I can't alleviate or take away these feelings, but what I can do is give advice. And the most important advice I can give is...
Live on
They won't come back, and they'll most likely come as impromptu visitors in your nightmares. I can't do anything about that, but it helps to talk to others. It keeps your mind off...certain scenes. And I believe you do have friends that are willing listen to you..."
Seeing the old Orc wiggling his eyes in expectation, Duncan couldn't help but laugh at the sight. "Alright, alright, alright. I've gotta say, this little speech of ours has had helped me.
A lot
And anyways, we've already got what we came here for, and more. And this means..."
Drumming his fingers with increasing tempo, Duncan revealed what the last part of the sentence meant:
"We're one step closer to the Moon!"
Both laughed uproariously at the ridiculous sight, venting the excess sadness they bottled up into the calm, blue sky...

Squawk, squawk, squawk...
Watchingthe seagulls fretting to and fro the port, Vilde's tomato covered eggs bread was snatched from her hands, but she paid no attention to it. Sighing once more in resignation, Vilde's eyes never left the sea, the horizon reflecting silently deep in her eyes.
"Hey, watcha thinking of~ Thinking of that hunk of a man~ Hmm~"
"Yes. Yes I am..."
Not expecting the straight answer, Bidia nealrh fell from the sky. "I thought you were gonna be more like 'U-u-umm, no, yes, I was just looking at the fishes, yes fishes' while blushing madly. Boo, return back my feelings..."
"Usually, you'd be right. But I've waited far too long for him, and I'd be damned if I lose him again without confessing my feelings. Last time I was too small to do anything. But now, now since I'm the Captain of the Palace Guards, I believe I'm worthy now to stand beside him, both as an ally, and also as a..."
Vidia swore that this was the first time since forever that she had seen Vilde's cheeks this red. "Holy shit, you do realise that he's far fucking older than you!?"
"Age is just a number!"
"And jail is just a room! C'mon Vid, face it– he's too old for you! Try picking on someone closer to your age, not mention his race is..."
Swish!
"Say it one more time and I'll..."
"Okay, okay, okay, I get it, I was just kidding! But anyways, if you love him so much, why didn't you go back with him..."
Falling her hands at the sudden sword at her throat, Vidia apologised for the innuendo, before asking Vilde why she didn't go with them.
Turning around, Vilde began returning to the Palace, her hands clenched in anticipation. "This was the first time I've seen him smile in a long time, and from what I heard, seems he'll be busy for quite a while..."
Eyes gleaming, she looked at the confused Pixie dead in the eye. "I waited for 500 years, I can wait a couple more..."
She continued her journey back to the Palace, this time with a slight skip in her steps...
