Knock knock knock!
Kushina finally stopped teasing the little red-furred Eevee, knocked on the table, and looked at Renzo seriously. "Alright, enough fooling around—spill it. What the hell is going on here?"
"Hmph! This isn't some prank! That puppy didn't come from a Transformation Jutsu either! That's really how it looks! What exactly did you do?!"
Minato let out a long sigh of relief that they were finally back to the main issue. He nodded seriously, turning to Renzo. "She's right."
"Well, here's the deal…"Renzo nodded and started explaining his carefully edited version of events.
He claimed it all began because he didn't have enough chakra and his body wasn't strong enough to support the Mangekyō Sharingan.
Then, by pure chance, he came across Uzumaki Rena (Karin's mother). He saved her, and with her consent, took a bit of her blood and flesh.
With that, he conducted research and successfully cracked the Uzumaki clan's bloodline limit—creating a serum that grants the so-called "Uzumaki Sage Body."
And the red-furred Eevee? That was the first successful test subject.
…Yeah. A lot of that was pure BullShit.
The Sage Body was real, but saying he couldn't handle the Mangekyō due to physical limits? Total crap.
"Anyway!"
Renzo stood up and gave Kushina a deep, solemn bow. "I know no matter how I explain it, this still counts as crossing the line. I tampered with the Uzumaki clan's bloodline, your clan's legacy, Kushina… and for that, I'm truly sorry."
Yeah, that apology was a load of crap too.
But he genuinely did want to make it up to Rena and Kushina.
Also, Renzo had his own reasons for bringing all of this to their attention.
He needed Minato and Kushina's full support for the next phase of his plan.
Step one: get closer to Minato and Kushina.
Yup, it was all about building connections.
Sure, it was a hassle, but it was way easier than trying to brute-force his way through everything.
Besides, in his mind, he hadn't really done anything wrong. He had Rena's consent, after all.
And knowing Minato and Kushina's personalities, there was a good chance they'd understand—once everything was laid out.
He also planned to give high-purity Sage Body serum as compensation—not just for Rena, but for Kushina and Minato too.
That would help enhance their Sage constitutions and purify their bloodlines. Plus, Minato himself would see a major power-up in both body and strength.
Knowing how kind and principled those two were, this was the perfect way to deepen their bond.
…Assuming Renzo had read them correctly.
"Mhm… Mhmm? Huh?"
At first, both Kushina and Minato nodded along, looking relieved.
It wasn't as bad as they'd initially feared.
And since Renzo had gotten Rena's permission and only took a little blood and tissue, it didn't seem like a big deal.
Honestly, stuff like this happened a lot behind closed doors—especially after Uzushiogakure was destroyed.
Not like anyone else had ever made any real breakthroughs, though.
But Renzo? He managed to crack the entire Uzumaki bloodline with just a tiny sample?
That was serious skill.
And the fact that he even told them this at all—he could've just kept quiet. Clearly, he was thinking about their relationship when he came clean.
What a stand-up guy!
When Renzo saw Kushina and Minato's expressions soften, he knew—he'd nailed it.
…But then their expressions changed again.
Kushina blinked, looking stunned. "Wait a second… did I hear that right? You said you awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan? What even is that? The Uchiha have something like that?"
Can't blame her for being in the dark—Kushina had only joined Konoha partway through life. It was normal not to know all the secret stuff.
"The Mangekyō Sharingan, huh? I think I've heard the name before…"
Minato rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "But I always thought it was just a legend. Didn't think it was actually real."
Okay—he was totally pretending. The Third Hokage had already filled him in a little on the subject.
Still, even he didn't know that much.
"So what's so special about this Mangekyō Sharingan?" Kushina tilted her head, curious.
"Hmm, where do I even begin…" Renzo scratched his cheek, then decided to give them both a quick rundown of what the Mangekyō Sharingan really was.
He made sure to highlight one key point:"Back in the day, Uchiha Madara used the Mangekyō to forcibly contract the Nine-Tails and fight the First Hokage!"
"So Kushina, when it's time to give birth… you'd better be careful about that."
He was just giving them a heads-up.
Kushina didn't seem too bothered, but Minato definitely took note of it.
"Isn't Uchiha Madara already dead? What's there to worry about?" Kushina raised her chin, looking pretty dismissive. "Or are you trying to say you're planning something shady with me involved, huh?"
She scoffed. "No offense, but with my sealing techniques, there's no way you could pull that off!"
Confident as ever.
Minato stayed serious, though. "I'll keep that in mind. But I'm guessing you brought this up for a reason, right?"
He wasn't just humoring Renzo. He'd seen Madara with his own eyes once, alive and kicking. So Renzo's warning? Yeah, it hit different.
Could one of Madara's plans involve the Nine-Tails sealed inside Kushina?
That made it something Minato had to take seriously.
"Exactly," Renzo nodded and followed up by laying out the whole story—his encounter with Madara, how he'd approached Obito, and what the old Uchiha was really scheming.
He even spilled the tea about Black Zetsu and Uchiha Aiko and what had been going on behind the scenes lately.
"For real?" Minato shot up from his seat, eyes wide. "So Madara's actual targets were you and Obito? Planning to use you both as pawns?"
He remembered what Renzo had said about Aiko's Mangekyou awakening method, and putting that together with what happened to Obito and Kakashi… he could already imagine the nightmare scenario if Renzo hadn't intervened in time.
"What the hell, Madara!" Even Minato, who was usually calm and kind, couldn't hide his fury.
"That old bastard really has no conscience! How could he do that to Obito and Kakashi?!" Kushina fumed too. "If Renzo hadn't told us he was already dead, I'd seriously be tempted to go beat the crap out of him myself!"
In her eyes, Minato's students were all good kids—what had they done to deserve any of that?
"Uh… well…" Renzo scratched his cheek, giving a sly smile. "Actually, Kushina-neesan, that might still be possible."
"The whole reason Madara's been trying to manipulate the Uchiha clan is to find pawns to carry out his plans—so that eventually, he can revive himself in his prime and unleash the final phase of his scheme."
"…So basically, his revival is inevitable. There's almost no stopping it."
Yeah, not that Renzo planned on stopping it anyway.
Honestly, part of him was kinda looking forward to seeing Madara again, just so he could dramatically throw out a line like: "You wanna dance? I, Uchiha Renzo, acknowledge you as the ultimate dancer!"
"Hah?" Kushina's eyes lit up with interest. "That works for me! Renzo, make sure to call me when it happens—I'll beat him to a pulp myself! Hmph!"
"Kushina…" Minato sighed, clearly exasperated. "Aren't we supposed to stop Madara from reviving in the first place? We're talking about Uchiha Madara—the guy who stood toe-to-toe with the First Hokage! If he comes back at full strength, we won't stand a chance!"
He turned to Renzo. "You've gotta have a plan, right? Is there any way to stop him from coming back?"
Renzo just shook his head. "It's way too hard. Nearly impossible."
"He's left too many backup plans. Especially Black Zetsu—that thing's got some insane abilities. I can't track him down, and even if I could, if he wants to stay hidden, I'd have a hell of a time catching him."
"But don't worry about it, Minato. I'll handle Madara when the time comes."
Minato raised an eyebrow. "Even if he's at full power?"
Renzo nodded with full confidence. "Even at full power."
"Oh?" Minato looked surprised. "Sounds like you've gotten a serious upgrade lately. Don't tell me… you already injected yourself with the Uzumaki Sage Body bloodline?"
"No way!" Kushina stared at Renzo like he'd grown another head. She even leaned in and sniffed the air around him, narrowing her eyes. "Nope. I don't sense that familiar bloodline resonance."
"…Wait. Hold on a sec."
Her face suddenly darkened with suspicion as she stared right at Renzo's chest. "You little—did you seal your own body to hide it?"
"And this seal… it's not just any seal. You actually created a new, enhanced version based off the Five Elements Seal, didn't you?!"
"You're something else, huh?"
Yup. Kushina was definitely a seal master. Renzo hadn't done much to hide it, but with just a bit of focus, she saw right through him.
Minato gave a knowing nod too. "Ah, I see. That explains everything."
"You brat!" Kushina huffed, picking up Eevee and walking over to Renzo with a smirk. "Undo that seal and show your big sis what you've been hiding!"
She teased him while sizing him up. "So you've already injected yourself with our clan's bloodline, huh? I guess that makes you one of us now, doesn't it?"
