Chapter 242 - The Giant Tenseigan and the Soul of Ōtsutsuki Hamura

— — — — — —

"Get some sleep. I'll explain everything later."

Renzo didn't feel like wasting time trying to explain things to Toneri. With a quick wave of his hand and a focused burst of mental energy, he cast a hypnosis technique that gently lulled the child into slumber.

Once Toneri was out cold, Renzo stored him away in Takamagahara.

"Red Queen, assign a few bots to look after the kid. He's still useful to me," he ordered casually.

Inside Takamagahara, which had undergone some major upgrades thanks to Eevee, Red Queen had already set up a base of operations. With more tools and control features available, Renzo had begun making full use of the pocket dimension.

He'd even built a massive laboratory in there—just in case he needed to run some experiments at a moment's notice.

"Yes, Master," Red Queen replied without hesitation, dispatching several caretaking androids toward Toneri's location.

Meanwhile, Renzo's mental sweep of the moon quickly pinpointed a few areas still locked under sealing barriers. He instantly teleported to each one, broke the seals, and cleared the contents.

These places held valuable resources—archives, scrolls, and relics left behind by the Ōtsutsuki clan that had once inhabited the moon.

One cache even contained vast records of Yang Release techniques and various secret arts from their lineage.

Renzo bundled them all up without a second thought.

"And now, the last stop…"

He appeared before an enormous golden Tenseigan—its pressure overwhelming, its power undeniable.

"Wow… that's some insane ocular power. But it's mine now."

Renzo's eyes gleamed with excitement. Just the chakra stored in this eye alone was nearly on par with his own Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

Which was saying a lot—his Eternal Mangekyō was easily hundreds of times stronger than an average Mangekyō user like Obito.

(Renzo's Mangekyō was a mutated nine-tomoe Eternal Mangekyō.)

"This eye isn't going anywhere, Uchiha boy."

A cold voice echoed across the chamber. A spectral figure emerged next to the Tenseigan—a white-haired elder, solemn and unmoving.

Renzo raised an eyebrow. "Oh? You must be… Ōtsutsuki Hamura, right? So your soul stuck around after all. You sure you wanna stand in my way?"

"If you leave the moon right now, I'll act like this never happened. But if you try to take the Tenseigan—I'll stop you."

Hamura's voice was calm, but resolute.

"Interesting…"

Renzo smirked. "I mean, I already killed one of your last living descendants and took the other with me. And you're just… letting that slide?"

"To be honest… I'm relieved."

Hamura shook his head slowly. "The branch I left here was meant to watch over the Shinobi World—to intervene if it ever strayed too far from the right path. And to guard the seals buried within this moon."

"I didn't expect them to go so far off course… consumed by hatred, obsessed with wiping out the world. If they're gone… maybe that's for the best."

"All I ask is that you raise Toneri well. He still has a chance."

Renzo blinked, genuinely surprised. "Huh. You're not what I expected. Maybe you do have a heart buried under all that Ōtsutsuki pride. Can't say the same about your brother, though—Hagoromo might not be so noble."

"…What are you implying?"

Hamura's voice tightened, his brow furrowed.

Renzo shrugged. "Nothing serious. Anyway, I'm taking this eye. Try and stop me if you can."

With that, Renzo floated up off the ground. His Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan flared open, his Reiatsu surged, and a Zanpakutō appeared at his waist.

He unsheathed it smoothly.

"Shatter… Kyōka Suigetsu."

Hamura's eyes widened in shock. "That blade—!"

The moment he saw it, panic gripped him. He could feel a deep, soul-crushing danger emanating from it.

"A Zanpakutō," Renzo said with a smile. "A sword made to cut souls. Let me show you how it works."

In a blur, Renzo appeared right in front of Hamura and brought the blade down in a merciless arc.

"Dodge!"

Hamura barely managed to teleport out of the way, using the massive Tenseigan's power to shift positions in a flash.

At the same time, he activated the Tenseigan, attempting to absorb Renzo's chakra.

"…What?! Why isn't it working?!"

His face paled as the technique failed to do anything. Renzo stood unaffected, completely untouched by the chakra drain.

"This… this isn't possible. Where's your chakra?!"

"To be honest… I'm not really using chakra right now. Even if I were, your Tenseigan wouldn't be able to touch it."

Renzo grinned.

His energy wasn't just ordinary chakra—it had evolved. He now used Sage Chakra infused with Origin Power (Source Energy), which existed on a higher dimensional layer.

Even when he masked it as normal chakra, that didn't mean the other energy traits were gone. They were just hidden, waiting beneath the surface.

The Tenseigan was made to counter normal chakra flows. Against Renzo? It didn't stand a chance.

"In that case—Tenseigan Technique: Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!"

Ōtsutsuki Hamura didn't hesitate. He instantly activated the enormous Tenseigan behind him, unleashing a terrifying silver tornado that surged straight at Renzo.

"#81: Dankū."

Without flinching, Renzo raised a hand and sliced the air in front of him. Instantly, space itself was severed and sealed.

The silver tornado slammed into the invisible wall, raging wildly, but couldn't break through.

This technique wasn't your average Dankū. Renzo had reworked it using his advanced spatial talents—borrowing the base from Aizen's kidō but enhancing the defense even further.

"Takamagahara!"

Seeing Hamura tap into the Tenseigan's full power, Renzo decided it was time to end things. In a flash, he cast Takamagahara, covering the Tenseigan, Hamura, and everything within several kilometers in his domain.

"Sever. Restrict."

Within Takamagahara's realm, Renzo altered the rules. He forcibly separated Hamura's soul from the Tenseigan and cut off their link completely.

If Hamura had been at full strength, this might not have worked. But right now? He didn't even have a body—his soul was just clinging to existence, relying entirely on the Tenseigan to fight.

There was no way he could resist the crushing force of Takamagahara's law manipulation.

"Impossible…"

Hamura looked completely stunned, staring at the now unresponsive Tenseigan as if he'd been struck by lightning.

"What kind of power is this? It feels like… like the entire world is bending to your will."

He turned to Renzo with disbelief written all over his ghostly face.

"It's just like your mother Ōtsutsuki Kaguya's Dimensions, right?"

Renzo smiled while casually moving the massive Tenseigan to another semi-independent space within Takamagahara, as if relocating furniture.

"That's right. But… how do you know about my mother? And not just her—you've known everything about me and my brother from the start!"

Hamura narrowed his eyes.

"Kid, you're not normal."

Renzo shrugged with a smirk. "You could say I've got a special ability to… see the future of this world. Let's just leave it at that."

"Truth is, I know everything about your family—your brother's thousand-year plan, Kaguya's past and even her future. That poor woman… what a tragic figure."

He paused, letting the words hang for effect.

"I've gotta say, you and your brother really did your mom dirty. That's some next-level 'filial piety' right there."

Hamura's expression darkened.

"Did you really think she created the White Zetsu Army just for fun? She was preparing for an invasion from the main Ōtsutsuki clan. She was trying to protect the planet!"

"Or wait…"

Renzo studied Hamura's blank expression and rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"Or maybe… maybe you two knew all along?"

"…Yeah."

Hamura nodded quietly. "My brother and I knew. But we didn't agree with how she did things. Sacrificing innocent lives to build an army? We couldn't accept that. We believed there had to be another way to protect this world."

"And that's why you created the ninja system, isn't it?" Renzo asked. "You wanted humanity to grow on its own, to become strong enough to face future threats without relying on gods or aliens."

"Exactly."

Hamura's tone was firm.

"Earth belongs to humans. In the end, it should be them who protect it. My brother and I won't always be around."

He let out a bitter sigh.

"But… it looks like we failed."

"For over a thousand years, the ninja world's been stuck in endless war. People fight over hatred, greed, and power, completely blind to the real danger looming on the horizon."

His voice trembled with regret.

They had started with good intentions—at least, that's what Hamura believed.

But good intentions didn't always lead to good results.
