After I finished tagging Kiriko she left seemingly somewhat embarrassed holding a golden rose. I didn't know what she would do with it and I didn't care I used it to tag her after it fulfilled it's purpose it was worthless to me. This didn't mean that all the gold I gave away tagged everyone. I gave it way to establish a pattern so others wouldn't think deeply about it. I had to explain a few times that it wasn't a tip as this was Japan after all. I only tagged characters I recognized from the show as I didn't intend to save everybody if they lived it would be through luck.
My goal was simple I would collect named characters from other realities but other than that I would leave them to their fates. I might make exceptions depending on how I feel in the moment but it wouldn't interfere with me gaining more power by slaying heretic gods... unless I found a way to enslave goddesses. I mean it shouldn't be surprising considering that I was considering wifeing Jubileus when I thought she was just a expensive escort.
The days flew by I mostly kept having fun with Yui's body and taking shopping so she became more attached. Rei tried to get more involved always finding reasons to come by she even figured out where I was staying. Takashi has come to hate me for no apparent reason he probably saw Rei hanging around me even though I haven't made any effort as I was waiting for the apocalypse to do anything to her. To be clear this wasn't because of laws or some crap like that but simply because she would more easily obey me during the apocalypse.
When the day of apocalypse arrived I could see who would turn and who wouldn't before they actually did. I didn't immediately realize what it was at first until I saw one actually turn and begin rampaging. I also felt their souls leaving their bodies and become part of my collection it was then that I knew I made the right decision. Their souls would be the foundation for my personal heaven and hell. I turned to Yui to confirm if she was infected but to my relief she was just terrified about the end of the world. So without much thought I dumped her in my heaven realm that was quickly growing thanks to the influx of new souls. Even better it seemed that the souls were attracted to me as I saw the souls gathering towards me.
Since the apocalypse was already kicking off it was finally to claim my prizes as I wasn't sure what my presence might have changed the plot. So I opened a gate to the school to grab the softer more vulnerable girls first. I got there just in time apparently because as soon as I arrived the gym coach was just bitten. As soon as he turned he immediately tried to bite Kyoko Hyashi but I crushed his skull with a sledgehammer I created. Kyoko let out a shrill scream seeing his burst like a watermelon but I just simply pushed her into a portal. I didn't have time to explain everything as there were still other targets I wanted to get first.
Zombies already started appearing in the halls of school I saw a girl screaming as she was pulled back into classroom she nearly escaped. She wasn't on the list so I just ignored her as I continued looking around. I wander over to the nurses office as she saw me a awe and shock entered her eyes she tried to say something I simply dropped her into a portal just as Saeko Busujima rounded the corner. Having seen what happened she charged at me bokken in hand. I only raised an eyebrow before creating a portal directly in front of her only for her to somehow dodged it.
"Interesting..."
She didn't bother responding instead she swung her wooden sword intending to crack my skull open. I simply smirk and easily dodge her slow attack as she only moves at peak human speed which is nothing to a campione. I grabbed her wrist and flung her into a portal closing it behind her. With Saeko gone I began to wonder where the original boy that was supposed to be here before Takashi was. He was supposed to die protecting Shizuka yet he was nowhere to be found.
Rei: It's you! What are you doing here!
I was pulled from my musing by Rei's voice by her side were Takashi, Saya, Khota... as well as Misuzu Ichijou and Toshimi Niki. That wasn't right either they were supposed be with Shido not Takashi's group. This was bad as meant I could no longer predict the future scenarios and I needed to speed things up or risk losing my prizes.
Rei: Whats wrong why do seem worried
"Because I apparently have less time to act in your world and may need to leave some people behind instead of evacuating them to heaven"
Rei: ... what do you mean...
