Chapter 120 - Chapter 119: Rounding Off the Bill

"That kind of potion, if it's as effective as you claim, does have some value. Selling it to Dr. Banner should fetch around 100 to 200 contribution points," Tom commented calmly.

"That much?!"

Matthew's eyes widened in shock. He suddenly recalled the potion he had casually thrown into the trash, and a look of regret appeared on his face.

But he quickly snapped out of it.

"Mr. Tom, why are you still here? Never mind. Shadows, take him along. We're heading to the White House."

"No need. The Devil Corporation's defenses aren't weak enough to be breached by just a handful of people," Tom declined Matthew's offer.

"Could it be that the Demon King has returned?"

"If such a small commotion required the leader's intervention, we'd be too useless," Tom replied nonchalantly as he pulled out his phone.

"Mr. Flint, please subdue them. You can exchange them with the President for money."

"Understood," Flint responded.

After ending the call, he slowly walked toward the entrance, his gaze fixed on the approaching soldiers.

A smirk formed on his lips.

Having been idle for so long, he was excited to finally put his powers to use. He couldn't wait to showcase his abilities.

Matthew was still confused when he noticed, through the floor-to-ceiling window, that a massive sandstorm had suddenly risen below.

The storm engulfed a three-kilometer radius around the skyscraper, sending soldiers tumbling in all directions.

The wind howled fiercely, roaring like a beast ready to devour everything in its path.

At the same time, fine grains of sand, as if they had a will of their own, slipped into the gaps between the firearm components, jamming them completely.

"Open fire freely! Charge into the building!"

The soldiers followed orders, but they couldn't even pull the triggers of their weapons.

Frustrated, they began using their guns as clubs, blindly rushing toward the skyscraper.

Flint controlled the sand, creating an overwhelming force that grabbed each soldier and buried them in a massive sand pit, leaving only their heads exposed.

The soldiers struggled instinctively, trying to break free and charge forward, but the sand continued to tighten around them.

Flint increased the pressure, compacting the sand around their bodies until they could no longer move.

It didn't take long before every soldier was subdued. Trapped in the sand, they gasped for breath, their eyes filled with fear and helplessness.

"What… How did we end up here?"

"I think the general invited us for a drink…"

"Damn it! This is the Devil Corporation! We've been controlled!"

"This has to be a dream!"

Due to their intense struggle, the effects of the drug wore off faster, and the soldiers gradually regained their senses.

When they recalled what they had just done, despair washed over their faces.

They had offended the Demon King… Were they headed straight to hell?

As the sandstorm gradually dissipated, the sand obediently retreated to the sides, settling into the nearby beach park as if nothing had happened.

Flint walked steadily toward an armored vehicle, where someone inside was still making a last-ditch effort to resist.

"F***, move already!"

Lieutenant General Nathan frantically tried to start the vehicle. Watching the monster approaching on the screen, sweat poured down his face.

Flint reached the back of the vehicle and effortlessly tore off the handle with one hand.

"Surrender. It'll make things easier for me," he said coldly.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The response was a hail of bullets that riddled Flint's body with holes.

"Why won't you monsters just die?!" Nathan screamed hoarsely, clutching his rifle.

Flint ignored the wounds on his body. Instead, he pulled out his phone from his pocket.

His expression suddenly turned even more terrifying than Nathan's—because his phone had a bullet hole in it.

"I was supposed to call my daughter tonight," he muttered darkly.

Then, with an enraged roar, he charged into the vehicle.

Watching the shaking armored truck from above, Matthew hesitated before asking, "Does Mr. Flint… have that kind of hobby?"

"Not at all. He's just angry," Tom replied, shaking his head with a smile.

"Mr. Matthew, have you prepared the payment?"

"What payment?"

Matthew blinked, confused.

"Today, your soldiers stormed into the Devil Corporation's headquarters, attempted an assassination, offended the leader's authority, damaged valuable sand landscapes, frightened our employees… Not to mention Mr. Flint's appearance fee. After rounding it off, you just need to pay 80 billion."

Tom pulled out a calculator and turned the display toward Matthew.

Matthew stared at the glaring figure of 79.3 billion, his eyes widening in shock.

"What does that have to do with me?! I'm a victim too! Why should I pay?!"

He stomped his foot in protest. There was no way he was paying, let alone allowing them to round it up!

"Because you are the President. Their actions could be considered a declaration of war against our leader. You wouldn't want to experience a real demonic invasion, would you?"

Tom continued to smile, but that smile sent chills down Matthew's spine.

"I understand… but I'll need a few days to arrange the payment."

Matthew forced himself to remain calm.

There was no way he was paying that amount alone—he needed to find others to share the cost.

"That's fine. But if you delay payment beyond three days, there will be interest."

"…Mr. Kino really struck gold when he made you the acting CEO."

"Thank you for the compliment. That is the highest form of praise for me."

"…"

At the Beachfront Villa

Kino suddenly appeared in the kitchen.

Pamela was preparing a vegetable and fruit salad while Yuu helped out.

Venom and the little ones were upstairs.

Jean Grey was sitting on the sofa, chewing on a cucumber, glaring resentfully at Qin. She was muttering complaints about Qin refusing to apply sunscreen.

"Where have you been, Kino?" Gwen asked while grilling meat.

"A new recruit joined the company. I went to check on them. Here, let me handle it."

Kino took the tongs from Gwen and flipped the meat.

"Who is it? It must be someone important if you went personally," Gwen asked curiously.

"Captain America—Steve Rogers—and his lover, Peggy Carter," Kino replied with a smile.

"Captain America?! He's alive… and working for you?"

Gwen's eyes widened in disbelief. Captain America's story was legendary in the country.

"He was frozen in the Arctic for seventy years and was only recently discovered…" Kino briefly explained Steve and Peggy's story.

Of course, he left out the part where he had personally shattered Steve's beliefs.

"That's so touching! Ms. Carter waited for him all these years…"

Gwen's eyes welled up with tears, deeply moved by their love story.

"Do you think I could ask them for an autograph?"

"You're their boss's wife. If they refuse, they might as well quit the company," Kino smirked.

"Hey, that would be blackmail!"

Gwen playfully rolled her eyes at him, her cheeks slightly flushed. Despite her protest, there was a hint of sweetness in her gaze.

Seeing that Pamela was almost done with the preparations, Kino called out upstairs:

"Venom, bring the kids down for dinner."

"Coming!"

In no time, Venom led a group of little ones downstairs.

But this time, there was an extra child—a cold-eyed little girl silently following behind.

Amidst the lively atmosphere, she seemed out of place.
