Olivia dragged her boots through the damp road, every step heavier than the last. The fog had lifted, but the quietness wasn't comforting.
Then… the clouds began to move arbitrarily.
Olivia glanced up, her breath caught in her throat.
The clouds that were thick and gray just moments ago, had begun to change, dark streaks stretching across the horizon. The color changed slowly to a blood red.
"Is it just me," Liam murmured, "or does the sky look like it's been tainted red?"
Alexa stopped mid-step, her eyes narrowing. "This isn't normal."
"No kidding," Abigail muttered, already backing up. "It's like the sky's about to split open."
"Maybe it's just another storm," Crystal offered, though her voice lacked conviction.
"No," Olivia said softly, eyes still locked on the clouds. "This is something else."
That was when they saw a strange figure, when they looked closer, it was a human.
