The brief peace of the base did not let Liora relax.
She stood at the door of the convenience store, looking at the neatly arranged residential buildings not far away, but her heart was still heavy. She knew that this was not enough.
"They are satisfied now, but people will not be satisfied forever."
This is human nature—there was nothing yesterday, and today even if they have a mouthful of hot soup and live in a clean house, they will be grateful. But as long as time goes by, this satisfaction will become a habit, and then become a matter of course.
"In a few weeks, they will be tired of instant noodles every day."
Liora curled her lips in self-mockery. If she were an ordinary survivor, she might also think like them—after all, no one can live on instant noodles for a lifetime, even in the end of the world.
And she, as the founder of this base, must prepare the answer before "they have a demand".
So she decided to build a community canteen.
