The architecture resembled a distinct blend of all the continent's countries combined, and if Rael recalled, that was because this river had once run through the entire continent.
Only after the war against the barbarians did the river shrink and pass through just Aztera and Drivania.
As for the buildings that were destroyed, they sank into the river, and some people who were desperate enough for freedom collected those buildings, set up magical barriers underneath the river, and began living there.
That had been the case for the last couple of centuries, and since it was so remote, most people didn't even know these underwater cities existed.
