He spat out the last words like venom, then without warning, his fist shot forward with terrifying speed, striking Ash so fast and hard that Ash couldn't even blink.
The punch slammed against Ash's face, and he stumbled back, the impact sending ripples racing outward across the dark water beneath them, warping and shattering the reflection like broken glass.
