Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Blood (3)

"AHHH!" Frenrin jumped out of the bed, knocking Garmr to the ground, while continuing to scream as he rubbed his head and stomach in a panic, checking if they still even existed.

{Kid, Kid! Calm down!} Garmr tried conveying his thoughts to the kid, but Frenrin's mind was simply too chaotic currently. Instead of hearing Garmr, it was more as if he was listening to static. And even if he could understand Garmr, he wouldn't be able to comprehend his words currently.

Frenrin kept screaming while feeling all over his body. He was slowly calming down, though, albeit it definitely wasn't a short process.

Frenrin was still screaming, but he seemed more placed in reality. He was even subconsciously starting to notice Garmr. Well, that was until he suddenly felt the feeling inside his stomach, the same exact feeling he had in the dreamlike world. Immediately, his entire mind went into panic mode, becoming entirely focused on the feeling.

"Oh god, oh fu-" Blarrghhh Frenrin started vomiting at a volume and speed much more exaggerated than in the dream world, and the pain he felt from his soul was definitely scaled in proportion with it too, unfortunately.

Meanwhile, Garmr was at a loss. There was nothing he could do. He could only stare at Frenrin. The only thoughts on his mind were how to help him. Unfortunately, Garmr really couldn't do anything. He couldn't open the door to get help, and if he started barking, then it was possible Frenrin's own screams could be drowned out, and even then he had no idea what was happening to Frenrin. So he just sat and watched, feeling an extreme sense of weakness.

A loud tearing sound was heard from the hallway. At the same time, the door suddenly opened in a vertical direction. Then, immediately after, the door was thrown back into the hall. "Go, go, go!" A large team of what looked to be nurses sprinted inside the room, ignoring Garmr and stopping right in front of Frenrin, who was still even now vomiting the pitch-black substance.

The group of nurses similar to Garmr, also had no idea what they were looking at. The floor was now completely covered in black vomit, emitting a smell that made several of them gag. The vomit itself was almost at the height of reaching the inside of their shoes. The nurses were understandably shocked, just staring at Frenrin. Each of them was hoping the other knew something about it, but not one of them had seen anything similar before. Their lack of movement definitely did not resound with the large man who ripped open the door and shouted at them to do something, lest they wish for their heads to start flying.

A few of the nurses gulped, then the four of them surrounded Frenrin and put their hands on his back. Each of their hands was emitting a glow: one was red, the other green, another blue, and the final one being grey.

The four had slightly different thoughts, though they all had the same meaning. {Please work!} Unfortunately it did not work, as the vomiting was related to his soul, something none of them had any experience or knowledge of.

The man shouted out with a ferociousness that made all four of them go pale! "Why isn't anything changing!"

The team of nurses started silently sobbing. It was clear their efforts weren't changing anything. Frenrin was still vomiting at the same speed and had no signs of slowing down.

There was only one nurse who wasn't sobbing, though her face was darker than the rest by a large amount. She silently whispered, "I'm going to do it..." The other three then stared at her with expressions even darker than before.

She stood up and started moving in a rhythmic manner, motioning her hands in a hypnotic swaying motion. Each of the lamps suddenly went out, the room turned completely dark, and at the same time everyone inside the room could feel an extreme chill.

Shortly after, the woman's skin started to turn red... and not a blushing red, but a bright, inhuman tone. Her face was contorting in proportion with how bright her skin turned. Then when her skin started emitting a bright glow, she took a deep and large breath.

"MOVE!" She shouted as she stood in a palm-facing-forward stance, which released a flame-like miniature tornado, heading straight towards Frenrin!

The tornado itself was rather controlled. It was small in size and went in a straight path before breaking off into several smaller paths.

The fire tornado entered inside Frenrin's eyes, nose, and ears. It continued incessantly in a nonstop motion. If Frenrin's eyes were currently visible, they would be bright orange, and at the same time, the exterior of his skin turned slightly orange.

As the tornado continued to rush inside Frenrin, the girl's skin started to turn less and less red. Before long her skin returned to a normal state. Though the tornado was not finished, it continued to rush inside Frenrin at the same pace. The girl's face darkened, and her face started to contort. Her skin, instead of being a normal, healthy tone, started becoming pale, paler, and paler... until eventually her skin resembled an icy blue.

Shortly after her skin turned blue in color, she suddenly coughed blood and collapsed. The tornado finished along with her. At the same time Frenrin's vomiting stopped, he fell onto the ground along with her.

The three nurses ignored the one who fainted, immediately running back to Frenrin. They then started emitting different colored glows in different areas of his body, each of them checking his vitals.

"What's his condition!" The man shouted out. "...Stable, he should be stable!" The man sighed out in relief, prompting the other three to relax. Which immediately made him shout at them to bring him back to the infirmary. The one who earlier was emitting the gray color back when they were trying to heal Frenrin lifted him up in a stretcher made of clouds.

She ran ahead while the other two nurses picked up the one who fainted, bringing her along as well. All five of them left the room, leaving a dark, nauseating liquid on the floor and a dog who was silently staring at all of them leaving.

{Useles...}

The dog shortly after also slowly left the room.
