"I apologize it's my fault that he knew how to find the scent-masking ointment in my room, I should have kept my ointments and medicines hidden to prevent a situation like this," I apologized. I felt I should own up for the role I had in this as well.
Cairn and Maxus exchanged looks before turning to me once more. Cairn got closer to Angelo.
"Even so that doesn't explain why he would leave the village. I've told him like I've told all the children in the village to never leave. He knows it's dangerous out there. So why did you do it?" he asked Angelo as he looked at him with a pained look in his eyes.
Angelo of course didn't answer since he was sound asleep.
"What did that wolf want?" Maxus asked me after a moment.
"He said he wanted me to go get food from the village and give it to him," I told the brothers. "He was planning on using Angelo's as a hostage to force you to give the supplies."
