"I ran into the little one earlier he ran away as soon as he saw me. How irresponsible of you to let him out here by himself and on top of that he's sick. Don't you know how dangerous it is out here?" he asked mockingly as he got closer to us.
"Tell me what you want," I told him he said he would get to the point yet still hadn't got to it. I felt him breathing down my neck. I did my best to maintain my steady breathing and remain unfazed.
"I want you to go into your village and get me a large batch of your food supplies," he said to me. "I don't know what's going on with your border defence. There are usually wolves that surround your territory but I'm not sensing them. If it's a trick or not I can't tell. So, how convenient to have someone to use."
I processed what he said. "Fine. I'll do it," I told him. It wasn't something that would affect the pack. There was plenty of food in the village now thanks to the food we'd found in the forest.
