Kieran's POV
The moment the stranger stepped through the opening, my wolf surged forward, ready to fight. My curse, still alive under the Blood Moon, made my skin burn and my vision tint purple. Every alpha trait in me screamed to protect what was mine.
But that was the trouble. Sienna wasn't mine. She'd never been mine.
"Who are you?" I asked, stepping between the stranger and the others.
The figure moved into the light. It was a man—or something that looked like a man. Ancient power rolled off him in waves that made even my alpha wolf want to submit.
"My name is Orion," he said. "I am the First Wolf."
My jaw dropped. The First Wolf was a tale, the original werewolf from whom all packs descended. He couldn't be real.
"Impossible," Caius whispered, his vampire senses clearly picking up the same old power I felt.
