"You still haven't found a job?" he suddenly asked.
"No," she replied. After all, he'd been following her for two days and must have seen her come out of job interviews several times, looking utterly dejected after being rejected.
"Do you want me to help you find a job?" he said with a slight smile.
She squinted her eyes suspiciously, looking at him in confusion.
"Come on, we did date once. Helping you find a job is no big deal. You can also tell me what kind of salary and benefits you're looking for."
"Dorian Howards, what's your real motive? Why don't you just come out with it?" Alice Conley asked.
He chuckled, "Alice Conley, what do you think I could possibly want from you like this?"
She was left speechless. It seemed there really wasn't much he could gain. However—"I'll find a job myself, no need to trouble you."
