Lunara walked briskly out of the building, the cool air hitting her flushed face. She didn't even know where she was going, she just needed to get away.
Behind her, Naomi's voice rang out. "Lunara! Wait…hey!"
Lunara glanced back and immediately slowed down. Naomi was trying to catch up, one hand on her stomach, clearly pushing herself too hard.
"Naomi, stop…don't run," Lunara said, walking back toward her in alarm.
Naomi finally caught up, panting lightly. "You shouldn't have left like that."
"I didn't want to make a scene," Lunara muttered. "I just… I needed to breathe."
Naomi frowned, eyes scanning her friend's face. "Ara… are you okay?"
"I'm fine," she lied. "I just don't feel well. I think I'll go home and lie down for a bit."
Naomi looked unconvinced. "You sure?"
Lunara gave a small nod. "Yeah."
Naomi hesitated, then squeezed her arm gently. "Okay. But text me as soon as you get in."
"Okay," Lunara said, before quickly stepping into the taxi that had just pulled up.
