Somewhere in this grungy alley—seriously, why are concert venues always next to the sketchiest places?—the girl from the crowd just about yanked her friend's arm out of its socket, eyes wild like she'd just won the lottery or, you know, made out with an actual celebrity.
"Did you see that?!" she shrieked, voice bouncing between the bricks. "I freaking kissed Kai from Neon Hype! On TV! Like, actual live TV!"
Her friend, still gasping and clutching her chest like she'd nearly had a heart attack, half-laughed but couldn't help the scolding: "Are you outta your mind? Security almost went full WWE on you! But, wow, that's honestly legendary."
The girl just stood there, hands shaking, heart going a mile a minute. "I swear, I could barely breathe. He looked—man, he looked so shocked." She lowered her voice, twirling a strand of hair she probably imagined was perfectly in place. "For a second, I thought… maybe he'd kiss me back."
