Lynch curiously flipped the letter over and immediately recognized the emblem stamped on the sealing mud: a side-facing wolf's head. It was the crest of his former lord, the Bayn family.
'A letter from home? Did Acate send it?'
In the Human World, very few people knew about Lynch's Transcendent identity, and his former lord, Acate Bayn, was one of them. Over the years, Acate had sent letters sporadically to update Lynch on the latest about his family.
The main purpose was, of course, to maintain a connection with him. After all, a Transcendent contact was a prized asset for the worldly Nobles.
"Dear Lynch, I have some wonderful news to share with you, and I believe you will be delighted to hear it. Your youngest sister, Nala, is to be married next week. The groom is my most valiant Knight..."
Lynch froze for a moment.
'A wedding?'
