Phoebe stepped out and glanced back at the door behind her. She clicked her tongue in frustration and stormed off. As she walked through the top floor—where most of the staff worked—whispers began to fill the air.
One voice, unfortunately for its owner, rose just enough for Phoebe to hear. She turned slowly, her eyes narrowing at a young woman clutching a cup of coffee.
The girl's eyes widened the moment she realized Phoebe was staring directly at her. The words she had spoken echoed like a broken record in Phoebe's mind:
"Doesn't she have a life? Why is she always pestering the CEO? Isn't it enough that she slept with her fiancé?"

How dare she? Phoebe seethed inwardly. Then, a twisted smile curved her lips.
"How dare you... Do you want to die!?" she screamed, making the girl lower her head in fear. Her eyes shimmered with tears.
