Zain stood in the back of the room, arms crossed.
His eyes were still locked on the now-empty screen where Skybrand had just fought Velra.
He was frowning hard.
His mind raced.
What kind of power was that? he thought.
She kept blinking all over the place like a ghost with wings.
He clenched his fist slightly.
It felt like an ability... but not like any I've seen.
Blazren's words echoed in his head from earlier.
"That's not just an ability," Blazren had said. "It's something else. You'll see."
Zain frowned deeper.
If it's not an ability, then what?
A high-tier ability? Some sort of technique?
He stared blankly at the wall for a few seconds.
Then blinked.
"Wait... I'm an idiot," he muttered.
He slapped his own forehead lightly. "I have a system."
He pulled up his interface with a quick thought.
I can just check her stats, can't I?
The screen flickered to life in front of his eyes, only visible to him.
