Micah returned to his dorm room and quietly shut the door behind him. His hands were full, juggling small gift bags he had picked up earlier. With a sigh, he dropped them on the desk.
"Hey, where'd you go?" Nick asked from his bunk, eyeing the bags. "Were you out shopping or something? What's in there?"
Micah dragged himself toward the bed and flopped onto it face-first. "Gifts. I'm visiting someone in the hospital tomorrow."
"Oh, no. Is everything okay?" Emile asked softly. "Is it why you didn't come tonight with us?"
"Yeah, she has been in and out of the hospital for a while now" Micah replied, rolling onto his back. "So tomorrow, you guys are on your own. I'm heading out before seven."
The room echoed with a groan in unison. Except for Micah, the other three were notoriously bad at waking up early.
