Yugi continued to drive away from the party he had attended. His heartbeat sped up as the thoughts continued to haunt him.
He didn't know exactly what he was going to walk into. He didn't know what to expect, as he told Sammy before.
Yugi didn't trust Yami, and perhaps that is why Yugi allowed so much to happen. It was like an intoxicating drug that drew Yugi closer towards Yami.
To others, it would seem unfair and even wrong for Yami to do this. Though Yugi would simply argue that Yami had warned him to stay away.
Nevertheless, that only drew the male towards the other for reasons he couldn't fully comprehend. Yugi continued to think about the possibilities as he waited by the red light.
Glancing at his GPS now and then, he saw that he was only fifteen minutes away from the location. Yugi gripped his wheel tightly as the light turned green.
Pondering about the what-ifs and all the wrong thoughts. He wasn't sure of anything except that he simply wanted to hear Yami's point of view.
He knew Sammy would be against him, but he was also happy that Sammy, at least in the end, understood. Even if he wasn't going to support it all the way, he simply wanted Yugi to be happy.
Yugi didn't know fully if Yami would truly be that for him. Though it didn't hurt anymore to try and attempt that feeling.
After a while, Yugi had reached a location that was isolated. The landscape around him was nothing but trees, rivers, and statues.
It almost looked like he had pretty much gone out of New York City. Though this must've been the outskirts of that, from what he could tell.
The male eyed his GPS again, and noticed that he was suppose to turn right. In doing so, he realized he had pulled up into a hillside area.
Taking the road all the way up a mountain-like path. It was mysterious and also ominous, which made Yugi feel a sense of unease.
Since he didn't know what to expect, he could only hope that Yami didn't take him somewhere to be killed. After their ordeal in New England, it wasn't the safest thing to say he would be alive.
Finally, after reaching the hilltop, his orbs widened to a massive mansion-like castle. Which was wide, and at least one thousand acres.
The front held gigantic model statues that looked like they were from Greece. Yami was indeed a wealthy man, so at least Yugi knew he was telling the truth with that.
He couldn't imagine living in such an extraordinary, extravagant, luxurious place. The male pulled up into the wide driveway in front of the manor, as maids came outside.
Noticing that it was indeed pitch black outside, but Yami had installed LED lights that lit up his entire manor from the outside. Therefore, anyone would be able to spot his manor for miles.
The two women walked down the steps and stood directly on the concrete side by side. Yugi had watched carefully before stepping out of his vehicle and closing the door behind him.
It was silent for a minute before Yugi was about to speak, but one of the women spoke first instead.
" Welcome. "
" Yes. Welcome," the other chimed in to state.
The first maid motioned with her hand to follow her inside, as her palm directed him towards the front entrance.
" Mr. Sennen has been expecting you. If you'd just follow me, please. " She told Yugi.
Yugi nodded with a brief smile at her, as his smile disappeared.
The other maid followed behind Yugi as they made their way into the front entrance of the manor. The doors opened up as the first maid stepped inside.
Yugi walked in as the other maid did the same, and immediately, Yugi's mouth felt his jaw dropped. In awe, he noticed the beautiful and unique taste of Yami.
He saw the same paintings he had seen inside Yami's office. It was an Egyptian-like theme, mixed with foreign influences. This was highly unusual for Yugi, which intrigued him more.
Yugi didn't know what to think or say as he continued to walk around without realizing it. It wasn't until one of the maids cleared her throat, trying to get Yugi's attention.
" Pardon me, sir. Please— do not touch anything, Mr. Sennen will be very displeased," she argued.
Yugi heard her nod once more, and this time cleared his own throat as he felt it was dry for a while.
" I — of course, sorry— it's just— this place is … it's incredible. " He would spin around slowly to admire everything around him.
Noticing down to the shiny trinkets, golden plated silvers, chandeliers, and mirrors on the walls. Yami seemed to have a repetitive habit of golden and silver items.
Which Yugi took mental note of, before the maid would smile and bow a bit.
" Yes. Mr. Sennen is very well known for his extravagant style and approach to materials. "
" Yes, very much so. The stuff you see here is priceless, and that is why it is forbidden for anyone to touch it without his permission. " The other maid would chime in to add.
" … I see. " Yugi would mumble to himself, as the maids would speak once more.
" Please follow us. "
" Yes. Follow us. "
" You will find Mr. Sennen on the fourth floor in his lounge-bar room awaiting your arrival. " The first maid stated as she began to head in that direction.
Yugi heard the sounds of the two women walking off, and he quickly turned around to follow them. Looking back now and then, and around his surrounding environment.
They all reached an elevator in the middle of the manor, where the maid pressed the button and the doors opened. Yugi was stunned to realize that he was so wealthy that he even had a personal elevator installed.
Since Yugi was never around wealth and fame all the time, it was always so surreal to believe people lived this way. Entering the elevator, the three of them went up the floors and finally arrived at the fourth floor.
Yugi, while on the elevator, did not consider how nervous he was becoming; it was like his cup was filling up while reaching Yami closer and closer. It wasn't until they reached the top that that cup finally spilled over in the form of hesitation.
One maid stepped off the elevator, as the other stood inside and motioned briefly with her hand in the hallway. Yugi tried everything to move himself, but found himself frozen for a second.
In a few seconds, he inhaled and took a big breath, as he stepped off the elevator, and turned with the maid down hallways and into a hall that had two gigantic, see-through glass doors. The maid looked back at Yugi and held onto the handle with one hand.
"Are you ready?" She would ask him in a monotone.
Yugi, not knowing what to say, felt himself fumble a bit with his lips, before the maid opened the door anyway. Yugi wanted to hide and run, but the second he heard her speak to Yami, it changed.
"Mister, Sennen Yugi Mutou is here to see you." She would say aloud towards him, as she continued to walk fully into the lounge/bar room.
Yugi, hearing the woman, would slowly follow in behind her and take in the surroundings almost instantly. Noticing a fireplace, and a mini waterfall, that had rocks and minerals around it inside a little pool.
The bar and stool area, where a man was behind cleaning glasses, saw Yugi and the maid enter the room. A massive flat slim screen TV, with stereo, speakers, and an Alexa player.
Black sofa, chairs that look luxurious, gigantic, marvelous windows that you could see the entire back patio, pool, and hot tub from it on the outside, and miles of land surrounding his mansion.
In another section, Yugi noticed another room adjacent to this lounge and bar area, however, Yami was sitting with his back turned away from the maid and Yugi. Watching a show that looked highly graphic with blood, gore, and romance, while having music softly playing in the background.
When Yami heard the maid, however, he slowly removed the glass from his lips and formed a small grin. The male gradually got up from his comfortable position and rose to his feet.
In an instant, Yugi's orbs widened, noticing that Yami was wearing a black and silver button-up shirt, with nothing underneath it, exposing his muscular-bare abs and tone. His tight figure, ripping jawline, and neck showcasing his veins, and Adam's apple.
Yugi felt a huge blush appear against his visage, and felt like he felt when he was in that hotel room with Yami. down towards his shirt, with his white dress pants, and his black ankle socks. He had been home for a while.
He didn't even bother to change into something else, but his eyes immediately landed on Yugi as they made eye contact. From that split second, Yugi knew there was no going back.
The male came all this way to seek answers, and he wasn't planning on leaving here without them. He just didn't know what Yami was thinking, feeling, or implying.
"Thank you, Misty, you've been wonderful," Yami replied to Misty, the maid, as she bowed lightly and walked off, leaving Yugi.
Yugi turned his head to watch her disappear, as he heard Yami speak again, making the male turn back around.
"It's just us now, Mr. Mutou, if you had any plans on running….. Well, it's a bit late for that now.. hmm. " Yami remarked with a grinning smirk in amusement.
Yugi watched as Yami took a sip of his drink when he said that, and Yugi, listening to Yami's tone, knew that this interaction would without a doubt be more than simply talking.
