The unknown woman and Kay had finally arrived at their destination. The woman turned to Kaylee, as she calmly showing her hand to Kaylee, telling her in a hushed tone.
Kay walked into a marvelous living room area with a massive fireplace. The room itself was ominous and quiet. The woman looked at Kay and spoke.
" He will come soon. Please have a seat. " The lady would tell Kay.
Kay, still uneasy, didn't know what else to do. She could only hope that the woman and anyone else wouldn't harm her.
What else could she do? It wasn't like she knew where she was or what happened. This entire experience has been unsettling, to put it mildly.
She didn't even know what day it was anymore, but judging by her healing wounds and bruises, they seemed to start to swell down. She could assume she had been out for some time.
Kay would slightly nod at the command and make her way over to the sofa. The leather, soft black sofa cushions underneath her gave her the only comfort.
The woman, who seemed like she was stiff when she walked, removed herself from the living room. Sliding the massive doors back in place, leaving Kaylee alone with herself again.
Kaylee felt heavy breath and tension in her mind and body. Eyeing her surroundings, to try and get anything she could to tell the police about.
She learned this from her mother because her mother had gone through a kidnapping experience. That scared her mother dearly, and she had never seemed to fully recover from that trauma.
Since Kaylee didn't know whether she would make it out alive or not this time around, she knew she needed to make sure her blood was everywhere.
So if the police and detectives ever discovered this place, her DNA would be traced here. Kay continued to monitor and examine things before hearing commotion on the outside of the doors.
What sounded like another language, which Kay couldn't comprehend. She could only hear what sounded like a bit of a disagreement, perhaps an argument.
It wasn't long before Kaylee saw the doors open once again. Sliding open on their own, until she saw Ivaander come through the room.
This time wearing a completely different attire, with a dark red vest, black long-sleeved collared shirt, black dress pants, and dark red wine colored dress shoes.
He looked dapper in anything he wore, which Kaylee always took notice of. It was always, for some odd reason, attractive to see him dress like that.
She couldn't express why she felt what she felt, she only knew that she enjoyed it internally. When she saw that he closed the door back, it was now simply just her and him again.
That feeling she normally got whenever they were alone seemed stronger now and more intense. It was as if she needed him to be a safe space for her at this point and time.
" … I see she has given you more painkillers to ease your wounds. " Ivaander would comment.
Kaylee was unable to truly speak how she wanted to, but also didn't know that she had been given medications either. She couldn't very well be upset by it, however, because they were helping.
Ivaander continued to walk over towards Kaylee on the sofa, before he stood directly in front of her. His hands were covered with black silk gloves, which made Kaylee's body jolt a bit.
Ivaander noticed her body language shifting as he tossed his hands up in the air in a desperate attempt to tell her he meant her no harm.
" I can see how this looks. But I can assure you, my lady, these gloves are a part of my wardrobe. "
Kaylee remained silent, but her body language showed she didn't feel like it was okay.
Ivaander sighed a bit as he quickly closed his eyelids. Kaylee narrows her eyebrows into a frown, trying to scan the male before her with her thoughts alone.
The young male soon reopened his hues, and his eyes and facial expression became more stern yet composed.
" I … I'm truly sorry for what you endured. It brings me …. pain to see something like this happen to you. "
Ivaander slowly bends down as he hovers on his legs to keep himself afloat. The male kept eye contact with Kaylee, as his right hand slowly tried to reach out and touch her.
Kaylee felt this was it for her at this point; she had nowhere to go and no weapon for her to defend. If he was going to attack her, he had every right to do so.
All she could do was wait for him to make his move, but to her surprise, all he did was move a strand of her hair back from her face. That gentle touch made her feel a bit relaxed.
" I'm not going to hurt you…. " Ivaander told her in a soft, soothing, and mesmerizing manner.
Kaylee kept her eye contact with him, seeing his unique purple eyes, shimmering with a soft gleam. Which made her insides calm and quiet.
That scared, dark feeling started to subside the more Ivaander was around. It wasn't what she expected after what she had gone through, but nevertheless, she felt this way.
She slowly returned his remark with a gentle nod of her head.
Ivaander, seeing her motion, returned that with a gentle grin and a nod of his own. His hand slowly pressed against her cheek, and now his hand seemed cold like ice.
It made Kaylee wince a bit from the chill, as Ivaander removed his hand a bit as he spoke towards her.
" Apologies… I haven't fully warmed up, but I suppose it's a good thing for you as of right now. Your face and body are swollen, so you need ice. " He calmly stated.
Kaylee, hearing him, started to reposition herself a bit before continuing to sit there and looking down at him. Ivaander watched her as he started to take his hand again, but stopped.
" May I? " He would ask her, as Kaylee would nod a bit as he would reach again towards her cheek and touch her.
Immediately, Kay's eyes closed, and she fell into his embrace. It wasn't even without a thought that she did so. Not even taking notice of the fact that she did so with ease.
Ivaander calmly and quietly watches her cup his hand like a child. The male closed his orbs briefly, before they started to change colors and eventually go pink.
The male felt his mouth begin to turn more moist, and his lips turned with a twitch. Ivaander felt a racing feeling inside his body — and a hunger.
Before he would clear his throat and quickly blink a few times, breaking the contact with Kaylee.
" I uhh— " He would speak while looking down and removing his hand from her cheek. This caused Kaylee to open her eyelids herself and look at him.
The young man would rise to his feet and look at Kaylee once again, but his eyes went back to a purple color, that being their natural color. He would finish speaking in his soothing and beautiful tone.
" I'll fetch you an ice pack. It should help better. Along with a friend who can take a look at your neck. " He would speak to Kaylee.
Kaylee wanted to say something, but couldn't as she watched Ivaander quickly walk away. The woman sat in silence once again, as she sighed in her head.
