Chapter 73 - Can’t Hold It Anymore

"Tolerant to cold? Can't really tell," Qin Xin said, "Because Ningning senior already looks cold and aloof."

"That's just the surface," Bai Ningning said with a cold expression, "It looks cold outside, but actually, I'm warm inside."

Aunt Zou couldn't help but interject: "Miss Ningning, that's called being cold outside and warm inside."

Just one idiom, and you say it like…

"I'm speaking in plain language," Bai Ningning replied, "It's easier to understand."

Aunt Zou secretly rolled her eyes, thinking, is that really plain language?

'Changing the color would be more accurate.'

At that moment, Bai Ningning suddenly noticed Qin Xin's outfit: "Qin Xin junior, you look pretty good in that."

She was wearing a white T-shirt with a thin gray Bai Ningning over it, which looked like a trench coat when the zipper wasn't pulled up. On the bottom, she wore denim shorts and Bai Ningning's favorite black knee-high socks.

Strictly speaking, it was her favorite to look at, not to wear; Bai Ningning preferred to go bare-legged for a fresher feel.

"It's okay, just everyday wear," Qin Xin replied nonchalantly.

Bai Ningning thought to herself that the junior was indeed straight; she hardly reacted to compliments from girls.

Qin Xin quietly moved to the side, trying to keep her racing heart from being heard.

Before long, Qin Yue also came out. After all, President Qin wasn't a little girl; she didn't have many requirements for going out and simply changed into a neat outfit.

Her tall and curvy figure was a natural clothes hanger; even the simplest clothes looked extraordinary on her.

"What's wrong?" Qin Yue noticed Bai Ningning's gaze and gently curled her lips, "Do I look good?"

"Sure," even Bai Ningning couldn't help but speak her mind, "You look great."

Hmm, according to her usual way of speaking, this was already quite a heartfelt compliment.

Qin Xin stood silently beside them, wondering if Ningning senior preferred the mature type. But that didn't seem right; she remembered that during military training, Ningning senior had accidentally revealed her preference for lolis in the group chat.

Which type does she really like, lolis or mature women? Or perhaps…

"Let's go," Qin Yue commanded, "Get in the car."

Aunt Zou drove a heavy Mercedes-Benz parked at the courtyard entrance; the spacious car was essential for family outings, easily accommodating three passengers.

As the car owner, Qin Yue was the first to get in, taking a seat in the back.

As the president's secretary, Bai Ningning followed closely, sitting next to Qin Yue.

Meanwhile, Qin Xin was still pondering the earlier question, feeling a bit dazed, and unconsciously sat in the back as well.

Wherever Ningning senior was, she would go, no problem there.

Aunt Zou sat alone in the front, looking at the scene in the back through the rearview mirror, her face turning pale.

No, the Mercedes seats are spacious, but that doesn't mean you should sit like this.

Qin Yue was also a bit puzzled: "Are you sitting in the front? Why did you come to squeeze in the back with us?"

Qin Xin was slightly taken aback as well, realizing, oh right, why am I sitting in the back? This is clearly going to expose me.

The girl's face turned pale, unsure how to respond.

"The second young lady has always sat in the back since she was little, saying it gives her a sense of security," Aunt Zou said with a smile, "Maybe she's just used to it."

Qin Yue nodded: "In that case, just sit."

After all, the seats were spacious; three girls fit comfortably, and even adding two more wouldn't be a problem.

Qin Xin sat in the back seat by the door, her hands resting on her knees, feeling somewhat shaken. She didn't expect Aunt Zou to help her out and keep the secret.

There was no other choice; Aunt Zou hadn't anticipated that the husband and wife would not only fail to stop the second young lady but would instead play along, wanting Miss Ningning to become a "shared interest" of the two sisters.

Who could she reason with about this?

Driving to the commercial street in the city, the three girls got out of the car early while Aunt Zou went to find a parking spot. Before parting, she looked through the car window at the three people standing side by side at the intersection: the older sister on the right, the younger sister on the left, and in the middle, a broad-minded beautiful girl.

She had seen many scenes of three girls walking together, but she had never seen them standing so closely together like a couple.

Forget it, forget it. Hopefully, the eldest young lady won't find out, and hopefully, the second young lady will be fine. Aunt Zou sighed and drove to the parking lot. After these girls finished shopping, she would have to drive back to pick them up.

"Let's go, we'll head to XX Square first," Qin Yue instructed.

As for their positions, she genuinely didn't notice anything unusual.

Her own position made perfect sense—if she didn't stand next to the little green tea, who knew if she would sneak off later?

As for her sister Qin Xin, after being estranged for so long, they weren't that close. Compared to that, the senior who had some connection with her at school felt more familiar, so she stood next to Bai Ningning.

So, there was no problem at all.

Once they entered the mall, Qin Yue became excited and took Bai Ningning around to shop.

"Those clothes in your wardrobe are fine for everyday wear, but when you go back home at the end of the month, you should buy a few decent pieces," Qin Yue said, picking out clothes to try on Bai Ningning. "Even though you can't look pure in anything, at least make sure the style is decent."

When going back home, the older generation tends to have a better impression of young people who appear pure.

Qin Xin followed behind, watching her sister pick clothes for Senior Ningning, looking sweet, but feeling quite uncomfortable inside.

"Sister, if Senior Ningning doesn't have suitable clothes, why not just have someone custom-make a few pieces in advance?" Qin Xin asked in confusion. "Why do we have to go shopping for these... ordinary items?"

Qin Yue chuckled lightly: "Qin Xin, you haven't been in a relationship, have you?"

Qin Xin: "?"

She was just talking, answering, and suddenly it turned into a personal attack. Was it not allowed to ask?

Qin Yue continued, "If you had been in a relationship, you would understand that taking your girlfriend out shopping is one of the best experiences. You see a beautiful piece of clothing, imagine how it would look on your girlfriend, and then have her try it on."

That's what dating is, little sister.

Qin Xin's fingers, hidden in her sleeves, trembled slightly.

She misunderstood; there was no personal attack, just a hurtful comment that was a hundred times more damaging than a personal attack.

Just then, Bai Ningning came out of the fitting room wearing the piece Qin Yue had picked out earlier. The pure high-neck black and white checkered shirt hugged her petite frame, making her look like a beloved little pet, and it was the kind of "she's small, so she's big" situation.

"Look," Qin Yue said with a satisfied expression, "just like this."

Qin Xin clenched her hands.

She couldn't take it anymore; her sister was being too much, and she needed to fight back.

"I don't really understand the dating and shopping between couples, but shopping is indeed quite interesting," Qin Xin said slowly. "A few days ago, I also went shopping with Senior Ningning."

Qin Yue was taken aback: "You two?"

"Yeah, and several other classmates," Qin Xin said nonchalantly. "They were all classmates that Senior Ningning found herself."
